[Mavs D End]

hey all, i've been following this team since my cousing plays varsity there. Anyways, they're 2-1 right now, and I was wondering what ya'll dudes thought of them

Watched a lot of film on them this week as we are preparing for MacArthur, the team who has beat Allen. Their QB is pretty good but he fumbled the ball away way too much deep in his own territory. Also, they had a series where they were 1st and goal at the 3 or something and were stopped 3 plays straight by the Mac D and had to kick a field goal, which I believe was missed I may be wrong though. They were incredibly sloppy that game but still almost won the game. Allen also botched their extra point tries which could have completely made the game another.

I'm a big fan of Allen and I haven't missed a game since I was a freshman. Yes we did play sloppy agaisnt Irving Mac but we've had 2 weeks to work on the things that are problems to us: penalties and fumbling (also the kicker has missed the PAT once every game).

This week Allen plays Flower Mound and it's our homecoming. I'm predicting the score to be 38-13 in favor of Allen.

All I know is, there is a kid that plays on the 8th grade team, and is a big runningback!!!! Not sure of his name, but he looks like a young version of Javorskie Lane from Lufkin. When they played Wylie last week, they could not stop him. He is big and has alot of potential

Allen will be much better this year because it appears to me that they are much better defensively this year than in the last couple of years. The loss to McArthur was an aberration. Too many turnovers and mistakes--the kinds of things that Allen day in and day out will not normally do. That 8th grade bunch is supposed to be loaded and have a bunch of athletes. That is the only thing up to now which has kept Allen from the big dance. :)

yeah, hopefully allen will do good this yr. i like this team. Not my favorite, but its my cuzins highschool
