Someone said this game is going to happen next year if they both agree for the Ohio game.

I don't see it happening though.

We were supposed to go to Ohio and show them boyz Cali football. My Lil buddy plays for Diablo's said boosters might not give up the money. ''Can't blame them it is high school football''

South Lake Carrol and Glenville were 2nd on the list for that Ohio vs U.S.A. Mcdonalds game. So it looks like if both teams and states (Texas) agree they will play in 06' well see should be great match up.

I heard Glenville is the fastest school in the nation ''Teddy Ginn like speed''

Well, at least Southlake Carroll need to play a team from Ohio because there being arrogent about football over Texas so we need to prove it to Ohio with Southlake Carroll. I am not sure if Southlake Carroll will be good or bad.

personally, i rather stay in the state of texas, i wouldnt really want to fly to ohio, for a game and fly back in a matter of what 2days? itd be extremly expensive, it costs us per person like 680 to go to colorado for like 3 and a half days? roughly what a rip off, and with this hurricane gas prices will soar, yikes, id prefer to stay in texas, if they come here...i guess itd be diffrent

I agree but I am saying that Ohio need to come here for payback and that def. would be bad for them because they would excited like can't go sleep very good like our team did.

yea, i think the whole trip and the tv hype and all that just got the players mentally exhausted before the game and stuff, thats why this whole interstate game series stuff is stupid, takes huge toll on the kids

Carroll will not travel out of state to play anyone. Go back to sleep. The board and the coaches all agree that that they can stay in the state and play some of the best the country has to offer.

These kinds of posts about SLC need to be deleted/

Glenville being the fast team maybe a lil off, not only is it that is a hard one to determine each year, however their programs speed can be compared with Lufkin's. While they've sent studs through their Ohio State pipeline for years especially since Ted Ginn Sr. been coach it wasnt till Jr. came around that they had a signature player(who needs more touches by the way). They're usually good for a lock down corner and or gamebreaking wideout every year to go with several other D-1 prospects.

By the well with so many of Southlake's impact players being seniors should be so excited about this prospect being valid anyways.

These kinds of posts about SLC need to be deleted/I think games like this are foolish. They do more harm than good to a program. In my view, any coach who agrees to such a game has his priorities in the wrong place (both for the program and for the students). I believe that Todd Dodge is smart enough to avoid games like this. He has nothing to prove.

I think alot of the fans would like to see this though.....

But, I think some of these games should be played on Texas soil.

I think Texas should have something like this at Texas Stadium.........not one game but two.........

Sometimes it's better to keep the pollsters guessing than to prove them right or wrong. I think everyone should be aware that there are teams out there, and it doesn't matter where they are, who could play with any other team, no matter where they are. Football is a team thing made up of X's and O's, kids with alot on their minds, and referees who make good and bad calls. How can something so obective with so many teams and so many possibilities ever be a sure thing (unless we're talking about SLC)? ;)

Rankings doesn't have anything to do with it. Coach Dodge has said more than once that the only ranking worth anything is if you are playing for the state championship. There are just too many good teams in Texas that have yet to be played. It is just not worth the money to travel, and more than likely, play someone not as good in our state.

Why travel out of state? SLC has nothing to prove. And, as your fine Dragon Coach Dodge is paraphrased to have said, "Why travel out of state when we can play some of the best teams in the U.S. within the Metroplex". Go Dragons!
