I know many do not think much of him. I have read that Miami is no good any longer and Arkansas more prestigious. I know some consider the Allen QB's to have a better resume.

I do think at the very least it will add to the star power of the game.

You have the SLC QB and TX commitment vs. the MNW QB who is a Miami commitment.

Should only be good for the game.

Good for him! He is a tall kid, but they don't pass a lot, or at least haven't much in the past. he has some tall receivers who should help make him look good.

Sign of the times when 200 yards a game, 2900 for the season is not considered passing a lot. Not that you are right/wrong just my perspective is a little different.

He also appears to be very skinny.

I may not think he walks on water but that doesn't mean I can't congratulate the young man. He needs to put on some weight and really work on his mechanics but the physical tools are there.

According to Rivals, he threw the ball 425 times for over 3500 yards and 35 TDs to just 6 INTs last year. Impressive numbers.

I've given up on trying to get accurate numbers for this MNW squad. They're good no matter what you source is but they'll vary between 500 - 800 yards sometimes.

Rivals' numbers can sometimes be very inaccurate.

I quoted those numbers last week. They are the same on Rivals and Maxpreps.

These come from the Miami Herald and would seem to be more accurate. I have a feeling, and nothing to back it up that the ones you quoted include soph. stats.

In any case, using these numbers for 15 games he averaged
13/19 195 yards a game and 2.5 TD's.

Don't think he'll be catching many passes from him, though.

Miami Northwestern High School. Top ranked, 6a state champion from Florida that's coming to Texas to play Carroll 9/15.

DUN DUN DUN! lol

the kid has all the raw talent, IMO, needed to have a nice time in college. i think that if a good qb coach gets a hold of him, the sky is the limit.

I'm with ya Prez. He's gonna have to hit the weight room, hard, since he's as thin as a rail. Outside of conditioning, the U better have a great qb coach that is a sound practicioner of fundamentals. The kid has tons of potential but his mechanics need some tlc.

I'd have to disagree as most of this thread is positive and congratulatory for Jacory.

It's been pretty much the opposite..there were a few MNW posters breathing fire, but all but hurricane left...we are excited about the game and would love to have somebody fron that area to talk to.
