I'm herein' Rita might make a bee-line right up IH 35. If that's the case, everyone needs to look out. She's gonna be plenty mad after she attacks the coast line and starts dyin' off as she heads North. Could possibly create some bad flooding in the DFW area. Here in Schertz, we'll ride her out and take a few pot-shots at her.
In all seriousness, as we witnessed a few weeks ago, we all need to take this lady serious. Good luck. Common sense is the best prevention from harm. Let's all try to be back here after the storm.

You guys need to get out, it'll be upgraded to tonight to a cat 5, right now it is a very high cat 4 with maxium sustained winds at 150mph...pressior is about 10 desimals above Katrina at 920, pressior is expected drop, to make this the most powerful hurricane to hit the American cost.
A cat 4 hurricane is expected to hit galviston once every 77 years, there are no stats for Cat 5 in texas
traveling at 13mph west

According to the news, its supposed to basicly follow 35 north, like Bull said, losing power along the way... by the time it hits DFW its supposed to drop to a Tropical Storm with winds around 60MPH.. everybody stay safe!

I hope it doesn't hit Austin............I know that when it hits land all kinds of tornados pop up....even once it gets into the mainland it still generates alot of tornados.

Man, Texas is a big state and there doesn't seem to be any place to hide. Let's all pack up and head to Ohio. That way we could at least watch some good high school football.

LOL. Maybe they will let us bring a All-Texas team up there for the rest of the season.

Are there any p(a)laces set up in Southlake to recieve evacuees? I think I'll come up there and stick my hand out. T-bones are better than bologna.

Our gas price here in Tyler is $2.40 right now, not too good but at least it was a little better than before. The highest we ever had was $2.88.

No Way! Ohio would be scared of us playing them.
