Because of Hurricane Rita per Franochio...
Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione said there is a "pretty good chance" the Aggies game will be played Thursday.

Attendance could be sub-60k for this one.

News reports said they will decide Wens, I was going to attend that game, I would have been pissed if I had purchased tickets and then I would have to try and rearrange my work schedule and possible hotel reservations.

Attendance won't be anywhere near 60K unless Texas State brings 40K.

I have heard that the game has been moved to Thursday and will be shown on FSN with a 7:20 kickoff, but I have yet to find "official" word confirming that. Best guess is that Pyle Field will be lucky to be half full.

Are you saying that A&M is lame because people are leaving to get away from a hurricane? If so, then you truly are a piece of work. Look at what hurricanes have already done this year...I would leave too.

And these are the same people who criticized the "hurricane santana hit dallas" from a few nights ago.....

Who said anything about aggy being lame? All I said is that there wont be a lot of people in the stands. aggy cant sell out a game like this with perfect weather. Quit crying.

I wasn't crying, I was defending my school. I think A&M's attendance is pretty fitting for our performances right now and duh the attendance is gonna be low on a Thursday Hurrican game...I thought i sensed a negative tone, but I am mistaken, I am sorry.

Thursday games naturally have low attendances...a lot of people I know aren't even going to the football game tomorrow night because they already have plans. That's why I hate Thursday games...all HS games on Friday, all college on Saturday and NFL on Sunday...and then MNF. All of that's already done but some college games are played on other days and HS plays Thurs and Sat....lack of stadiums.

A&M has had a hard time selling out games for bottom tier opponents, but it is all due to winning, if A&M can ever find a way to start winning games on a regular basis, then Kyle Field will sell out every game, college fans just don't show up when a team is not winning. During the early to mid 90's Texas faced the same problem as their attendance was well below capacity, once they started winning games, the fans started to show up.

well, its expensive to build stadiums and stuff, so i can understand, i like how southlake is a one team school, so that HS friday, College sat, NFL sun, and MNF mon works out perfect for me

Yeah, but with 3 stadiums and 4 games...they should have one game at SV, one game at Judson, and one game at Comalander on Friday night and on Saturday, they should have another one at Comalander. Ugh, NEISD needs a new stadium, and they voted it down.

Yeah, we get the new school approved and then get a stadium/athletic center get voted down
Okay, back to the Aggies. A school attendance is obviously gonna be down on a Thursday. Especially when out of towners can't attend...
