Lake has closed school down until next week. District 24-5A looks to be out of commission this week. So much for the big matchup btwn. Lake and Pearland; sorry Oiler1.

In light of the potential devestation headed our way a high school football game just doesn't seem important anymore.

P.S. 5 minutes after I posted this thread, I got an automated phone call from the city of Seabrook stating that there is a mandatory evacuation effective 7a.m. thursday morning and everyone has to take 146 N. to Lufkin. I'm going to LSU for the Tenn. game if it hasn't been cancelled or moved. Hope I have a house to come back to....don't come lootin' cause I'll be shootin'.

You guys stay safe and hope your home just gets minimal damage if any at all.
My sister's law firm is in Clear Lake so she's on her way towards East Texas also.

Thanks, ktcarl. If we're all lucky it will go thru a desolate part of TX or MX with minimal impact.

Well that sucks. This hurricane has nothing better to do than ruin Texas HS football.
