I just saw on ESPN2 that NBC will turn Friday Night Lights intoa weekly series starting just before the 2006 NFL season. One of the producers will be the same as from the movie.

Even more national attention to Texas HS football.

Wow. Good deal...I think.

Im kinda partial to the whole National High School Scene but nothing I can do about it.

Will the series focus only on Texas teams or will it do stuff about teams from all over the country?
I would think (as I write that) that it would have to involve teams from all over in order to keep any real interest in the program.

Total guess here... they'll probably pick a top 5 team and follow it the rest of the year. Probably already picked it and covered from week Zero.

I just heard a quick report on it. That it would be based on the movie. Not sure on anymore details but that.

Anyone see the show on ESPN last night where Dick Butkis takes over a team in Pennsylvania? Pretty good.

I hope it flies. We have around 50 old jerseys from the 80s that Trapper gave us to auction off. I was thinking we were a little late on the deal, but with this TV show maybe we can find some suckers to snatch them up.

That be nice, but hopefully it won't be all about Odessa P, don't get me wrong respect to them. But, now TX has got some exciting chit to offer. They should show Madison in the Anthony Arline/ Jacob Guiterrez days. Anyways, but it will probably be set back in the 80's its all good tho
