Games are already being rescheduled to Thursday if possible. Subvarsities moved to Wednesday to accomodate change. All of the 19-5A games are confirmed for Thursday now, same venues. There will be a double header at Rhodes Stadium (4:30, 8) and Katy will play Strake at 8 pm Thursday night. No doubt, a few games may get cancelled but still too early to call off completely. It sounds like officials are doing everything they can as far as trying to move games up to get them in. There is a high sense of urgency to do that if possible with it being district time. We'll see what happens.

I do hope that everyone heeds the warnings and gets out of teh danger zone after the games. I have family around Spring, Conroe, and Katy. Hope everyone stays safe as they travel to wherever they're evacuating. If any are up in the DFW area, come to Hanby Stadium in Mesquite Friday night and watch Longview/Mesquite.

But, at least with Galveston, and the majority of the Texas coast, none of the cities are below sea level. Galveston would take the biggest hit, but I doubt it'd be anything like what happened in N.O. People will have somewhere to go back to when Rita comes through.

I expect this Hurricane will be category 5 because this hurricane is going to more time than Katrina when they thought it will strength to Category 3 or 4 and I was saying in my head that "dude, this hurricane can possibly be category 5 because the water is sooo warm. Texas will have warmer water just depends on what it is going to be like the water on friday.
