Does anyone know of any LA players that will be certain difference makers for thier teams. I keep hearing on new players on such and such a team, but am not sure which ones are rumors and which ones are facts. Secondly, how can anyone know how good they are if they played in LA. Some might be known by reputation, but does anyone think any transfer is going to change a marginal team to a playoff contender?

Lake picked up a running back #34 that was supposed to play this week. Small at 5'6" and about 160 lbs. but is advertised as being the fastest player on the field. Would definitely help on the outside; maybe replace Jones who was our burner last year on the outside. This year we can't seem to get outside nearly as well and I have seen both of our RBs get run down on long runs. (Geno at FB still outruns the secondary). This could be the guy to change that and open up the outside again.

certainly 1-2 game-breakers can make a difference, in the right situation and if the chemistry can be created. many teams wouldn't be able to accept a hired gun in the middle of the season, without messing up the potentially fragile chemistry. there will be some teams that succede because of the influx, but most won't be changed significantly.

Christian Riley, a senior from Buras, La., will start at quarterback for Dallas Bryan Adams. He says, "I'm ready to play. I've got a lot of emotions to let out."

DMN reported that "Riley relocated to the Dallas area to live with relatives after his home was destroyed. He sleeps on the floor of his uncle's one-bedroom apartment, which nine people call home. His mother's and grandmother's homes in Buras are gone, the family learned from satellite photographs on the Internet."

I wish he and his family the best as they working towards starting a new life in the metroplex.
