Jimmy Johnson turned Troy, Emmitt, and Micheal into the players they were. as the triplets are now in the Ring of Honor, should there coach that helped them win three superbowls be in it with them? Would the Cowboys have won the three superbowls with out Jimmy Johnson?
Jimmy Johnson SHOULD be in the Ring of Honor

I don't know, I'll have to think about it. The Cowboys won one with Barry Switzer also. Should he be there? I don't think so. The only thing going against Jimmy Johnson is he was there very long, not like Tom Landry.

NO denying what Jimmy did. I know you guys remember the 1-15 season. That incredible draft deal for Hershel Walker that got Dallas the picks to build those Superbowl team so I think he belongs.
Barry Switzer won superbowl but it was with the players Jimmy Johnson put together. Switzer was a good college coach but come on all he did that year in Dallas was try not to rock the boat and he did that pretty well. Ring of Honor no way. As long as they don't put Dave Wandstat in their everything will be OK. His coaching record since being coordinator makes me question how much input he really did have!!

Wasn't it J. Johnson that built up Aikman?

As long as Jerry owns the team...Jimmy's name will not be anywhere near the stadium. I promise you that...

Oh yeah! I remember you telling me about that, Wide....and my dad told me who J. Johnson was when we were watching a pregame.
He does it with Howie Long and Bradshaw, right?

Yeah..the dude with the porceline hair-do...
Don't get me wrong..I love Jimmy and I think if he would have stayed in Dallas...there is no telling how many Super Bowls they would have won in the '90's...but he will never be in the ring...and believe me ...Jimmy could care less.

Yeah, it gets kinda bad when owners and coaches fight....

jimmy was only there 5 years and did a great job but he wasn't there long enough to be consider for the ring. and as far barry let's run the same play twice on fourth down and get stuff twice. the players got to the super bowl on their own.jimmy built the car and barry drove it to the game for the third time.

I'm not 100% percent true since i was a elementary kid at the time, but didn't Jimmy trade Herschel Walker for all those picks...........he built the team that won 3 superbowls in 4 years. Of course, he should be in the Ring of Honor.

I can't wait for when Jerry Jones puts himself in the ring of honor. You know that is coming soon

If Jerry Jones goes back to Arkansas, it'll be a bad day in Dallas. We must not forget what he accomplished here. For all his faults, he is the most active and supportive owner in the league. I'd take Jerry any day over a guy like Bidwell, the Oilers owner, or any of a number of owners who won't spend the cash to win.

Without Jimmy Johnson the cowboys would have had Herschel Walker and never ended up with that great team in the 90's. Without that great team in the 90's there would be no aikman, smith, or irving either. Switzer wouldnt even be a name we remember without the team jimmy built. Not having Johnson in the ring is just stupid the cowboys pretty much owe him everything.

Jerry has done a lot of good and he's made the NFL a lot of money. He was behind going to Fox and leaving CBS. He's been big in the replay stuff, too. Don't forget about endorsements for the NFL, too. He will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day!

I have to agree, Jerry Jones is a crazy owner.
I don't like what he has done recently with the cowboys
the Fact that the 'boys could have had Randy MOss at WR  and then Jones passed him up because of his behavior record!
Yeah, but still Jones turned out some good Cowboys,
I also disagree with his firing of coaches. Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson were the best EVAR!!!
