Lake Travis defeated Brenham 34-21 in the Champship game... Pflugerville and Westwood played for 3rd place did not see who won that one... Lake Travis is very hard to stop on Offense...One of the best games was Mcneil and Lake Travis for Pool champ....went back and forth 33-37 with Lake Travis come out on top...Both QB looked very good....Pflugerville played Lake Travis a really good game also...

Westwood beat Pflugerville for third...Brenham game got out of hand early...maybe we can do better in Burnet this week !

Nice to meet you, Warrior09. I played for Westwood in 84-86. Saw the Homecoming game this last year (against Georgetown) and was highly impressed. Will Coach Wood have as good of a team this coming year or is there a little fall off?

Ditto Dodgeball,

First of all..Our program was down for awhile..so...we are getting no respect and everyone says we lost to much this year after we won Bi-district and then lost to Spring Westfield with our Q.B on one leg.

I think the talent we have replacing Senior starters have more potential and we will be better this year.

Coach Wood is turning this program around and excepts nothing less from his players...

I dont expect any fall out....but...Texas 5a football, Texas Prep, Dave Campbell will pick us last this year again and that's the way we like it.

Our kids realize that they have to earn the respect and we like the underdog role...Thanks for the interest and I can break it down further if u want ...

Come out and see us win this year...this website has Austin High at 25 and we play them August 30th..;)

I am guilty of having picked Westwood towards the bottom of district last year because i thought Chase Rich was no good as a Jr. Both of those assumptions were proven wrong to me last year but i will again be guilty of picking Westwood towards the bottom of the district for what you pointed out. Lots of starters lost and alot of inexperience will show IMO. But i do have tons of respect for Westwood football and the way Coach Wood runs that program now. He has Westwood believing in themselves and thats something that i dont think the previous coaches had going for them. Not trying to hijack the thread, but these are my predictions of how 14-5a will go.

2. Pflugerville
3. Cedar Park
4. McNeil
5. Round Rock
6. Georgetown
7. Westwood
8. Stony Point

Just my humble opinion.
