How many of you top 5A programs have sophomore starters?

Trent Rios is considered our starter at the moment with Blake Schrock out and cody mckinny nursing a ankle injury.but even if they werent injured he still sees a tremendous amount of playing time.rushing for over 100 yards in 2 of the first 3 games.Is expected to be the best back in Smithson Valleys history by the time he is a senior.

lufkin have a few come playoff time each year...i dont know when dez became a starter last year but reggie was a starter at wide reciever his freshman year in 98 because brian bradford was qb but when bradford graduated, reggie got the starting qb job his sophmore year

We would usually have one (Blake Gideon at Free Saftey, coach gideons son), but right now with one starting lineman out and one starting outside linebacker out we have 3 total.

Allen has a soph. WR who has caught 2 hail mary passes (one for a td) and another td pass last week but was called back due to a penalty.

Most top programs will have 1-2 pop up out of nowhere and the coaches are smart enough to put them on varsity at some point. This is the first time in a long time Lufkin does not have 1 or 2 right now, but that will probably change in the next 2-3 weeks.

We have 2 sophomore starters, one at WR and one at DL. All together we have 7 sophomores who have lettered so far, including a QB, CB, 2 OL's, and a RB.

Yeah Lufkin does not have any sophomores starting but like somebody else said, there always seems to be one that comes out of no where in the playoffs like a Mckinner Dixon or a Dez Bryant. R Thomas started all of last year when he was a sophomore. It is rare but it happens. I am sure Trevon Lewis will be starting at rb next year as a sophomore.
