theres the state championship team and then the regular season team, we dominated the playoffs.

Was that the question? We all know what happened to Reagan against Westlake. In fact, it wasn't bad for our first showing in the playoffs. Now, if we were to talk about the #1 team who was supposed to have a shoe-in for the State game. Well, we could always talk about that.

Seguin's defense has be very solid ever since Coach Carson arrived. The offense has always been the question until last year. They had a team that should have gone deep, but hats off to Reagan.

Just watching Kevin Smiths Highlite in that one game he looks pretty good. Has Good size and ect. He seems to be a sleeper kind of recruit but might turn into a very legit D-1A college QB.

Maybe another Kliff Kingsbury in the making. Some school like Texas Tech he would probably thrive at.

on other seguin news though Seguins Desmond jackson had 2 INTS. yesterday in the all star game and got game ball for defensive player

The game was this past thursday may 17th, Carson usually waits til the day of the game to let anyone know when and what time. The offense scored 8 TDs. Tim Daily is really 6'8" now? I know he looked big out on the field and caught 2 TD passes. The other TD passes were caught by Isaac Camacho, Brad Reily(converted to WR, but I think he's still backup QB too), and Dyon Cairo(who also played some RB) on Reily's TD Chris Ussery threw a good block to spring him down the sideline. RB David Sanchez scored on a 70 yard run and RB Greg Escobedo scored on about 32 yard run. Kevin Smith's TD run was from about 42 yards out and looked to be the same play he had the long run against Westlake late in the 4th Quarter of that game. Cairo's TD catch looked like the same play Michael Martin scored against Westlake where he split the defenders and ran away from them. The receivers all did a good job of catching the ball. Also not all of last years underclassmen who were starters or had a lot of playing time including Dillon Hart(OT), Pedro Tello (OG) Jordan Hennessey(CB) and some others sat out the spring game for various reasons. On a defensive note, Corey Caad(I guess, Calvin's brother) when he was in and playing on Tim Daily, he did a great job of covering him.

I wouldn't say the kids were underachievers or chokers. I would say that the Reagan coaching staff did a much better job than the Seguin coaching staff did. If you watched Seguin at all last year then seen the play calling against Reagan you would have seen the coaching staff got away from what got them to a district championship and a playoff spot. And with the Seguin coaching staff, you have to remember, Seguin is not a rich school district and doesn't put a lot of money into assistant coaches, so, they usually have a young inexperienced coaching staff and Carson is not only teaching kids to play football, but also teaching coaches to coach. It also didn't help that after the Austin High game, MLB Marcus Richardson pretty much played on one leg the rest of the season, OLB/Punter Marcus Greenwood went out with an injury in the first quarter of the Reagan game and I'm not sure why but they had a soph DT playing who had not seen any Varsity action the whole year. So, I'd say kudos to the Reagan coaching staff for the great coaching job they did against Seguin. They appeared to have Seguin well scouted and did a great job of preparing for the game.
