By looking at Dave Campbells there is no way they can go Div II with being the largest school in there district. On hear I had hear several folks say they hope ET goes Div II so they can play SLC. Somebody please let me know for sure if Dave Campbella is wrong and there is indeed another team in the district larger then ET. Woudnt suprise me DC is usally wrong with about 90% of the crap they say.

If possible Div 2 could be a real monster

Lufkin,Longview,SLC, Abilene, Euless Trinity, Dallas Carter, Cove, Katy, Denton Ryan with plant of others Smithson Valley in region 4. Clear Lake in Region 3 along with Katy.

Like always, Trinity will be D1.

No Trinity cannot go D2, but SLC can go D1 as they are the fourth smallest school in the district and if two of the smaller schools make the playoffs SLC could go D1 which is still very unlikely.

Trinity can't go D2, but both Katy and SLC have a chance to go D1 this year...wouldn't that be fun!

Katy and SLC might not want to mess with them boys in D1! Obviously, I welcome the company. The thought of it makes me want to have 1 bracket. As cool as 2 champs from one district seems, it's a lot better to have just 1 champ.

Here is something strange I noticed, Trinity has played all power running teams for the first three games, and their next 3 are also against power running teams. We are the first pass more than run team they will face, maybe we can use that to our advantage.

That has been something that I have been wondering about. What determines D1 or D2?

D1 and D2 are determined on a district by district basis.

To keep it simple...
At the end of the year, three teams make the playoffs from each district. Of those three teams, the school with the highest enrollment goes D1 and the other 2 go to the D2 bracket.

You are kidding, right?

The past 4 years, the best team in Texas has been Div 2. Don't fool yourself into thinking that the attendance is always the key.

I love the way people are always willing to make blanket statements w/out ANY possible way to prove them!

Next you will tell me that REL is better than the Div2 champ...
