Batman because he didn't really have super powers but he had that nifty utility belt, the bat car, the bat cycle, the bat copter and the bat boat!! I had the toy version of the utility belt when I was 6 but it didn't do all that neat stuff:p . Also, he had a way with Catwoman - she always seemed to fall under his spell in the end!! I know he seemed a bit gay with Robin and all but they weren't - Robin was his "ward" and as such he had to be responsible for him so why not drag him along. Baby Plas was a much gayer sidekick to Plastic Man. And Scrappy Doo was truly gay - oh wait, he wasn't a super hero!!

Spidey is just too nerdy (sort of like I'm feeling right this minute) and Superman has that whole Kryoptonite thing going. But both of them fly so that's pretty cool - who wouldn't want to be able to fly! The others on the list - sub super heroes - they can't touch the previous three in powers.

Superman is an emotional weenie!! His gal is a woofer and a pain in the hind end.

Spiderman? For real??? Oh puhleeeze!!!! He can't even get the girl he's such a wuss.

Now... you could make a case for Wolverine. Not being a die hard comics fan - he just comes off a little dumber than he should be.

Well, we're gettin technical there. If you define superhero by shooting lasers from your eyes and going that kind of thing then Superman wins, but I like to think superheroes are defined by their actions towards mankind. Batman and Superman more than qualify in that regard.

See that's exactly what makes scratch my head about Batman he's a billionaire with a boat, a plane and the Batmobile yet he prefers the company of an adolescent boy in his "bat cave" but he arrests Catwoman. She wasn't hurting nobody, couldn't he just let her go in exchange for a favor or two.

Batman was originally a lone charecter. The writers at DC felt he was too dark and gritty for CHILDRENS COMICS so they invented the Robin character to help children relate to the dark and brooding Batman.

I grew up reading comic books (it's how I learned to read - was reading them at the age of 4). Comic book and the movie tie-ins are multi-billion dollar industries. I have attended the International Comic Con in San Diego several times and you wouldn't believe the money that flows in that place. I saw a Superman comic (#1) that was selling for $50,000. My comic of choice is any of the Dells and Archie and even some of those sell for quite a bit. Not only does the event highlight comic related items but also some very interesting people, many of whom I have met, come to the event - some just because they like the comic book genre. Among the ones I've met there are: Mark Hamill, Ian McKellan (who just showed up because he is a comic book geek), Todd McFarland, Matt Groening, Adam West, Julie Newmar, Lou Ferrigno, Stan Lee, Phil Lamarr, Chris Rock, Kevin Smith, Charles Schultz and three I missed much to my chagrine, Arnold Swarzenegger, Tobey McGuire & Johnny Depp - there are many more that I can't even remember right now. All of these people were there because of comic books and movies about comic books. Ian McKellan was at the airport and his plane was delayed. I was leaving to go back to the hotel and he just walked right past me so I went back in - he is so cool. I guess my point is that to each his own...my nerdy side is the comic book world - I enjoy going to these things and I'm a 47 year old woman. I always meet fascinating, intelligent people there. In addition, I'm a Beatle nerd and I'm going to a Beatlefest in Vegas next month with my best friend...if that makes me a nerd then bring it on because I have a great time most of the time:). Never grow old - that's my motto. I'm still 16 deep inside:p

The world has enough cares of its own. It is nice to have a break and enjoy yourself every now and then. I've always liked comics and superhero stories. No grey areas, Good is good and bad is bad, and the Good Guy always wins.

I know -you could hardly tell it was him! He is the nicest guy (nerdy and cool at the same time - it is possible!!). I absolutely love him and he carries no airs about his stardom. One of the funniest was Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) though - that guy is very low-key funny. That, my friend, is where I draw the line!! I don't Grok Spock!! I don't even dress up like so many seem to do - you see Spiderman, Klingons, Storm Troopers, etc and these are people who paid to get in - not hired by the organization. I'm not that bad - I'm usually just looking for a mint Archie or Dell - seriously....I have boxes of them to prove it!! How do you think I got through the summer vacations to Arkansas when I was a kid? My cousin, Stephen, and I used to sit in the back of the station wagon and tune them all out with our comic books (no such thing as Ipods back then).

You laugh at me but you will be so jealous when I come back from Vegas and tell you about meeting Pete Best!! And, I get to see LOVE!!
