I have never drop a drop in my life and I'm turning 16 in 10 days. I plan not to drink a drop unless it's at my wedding or when I ropose. That's it. so it is possible.

That'll change I guarantee it. I was like that about 2 or 3 years ago, and a lot has changed since then...senior year and college. I promise, curiosity will get the better of you.

This isn't directed specifically at you jrock, but all on this thread that say they haven't and won't.

i stopped drinking for a while, and now it has a completely different effect on me. i still have the tolerance, i just dont have the urge to go out and pound back some beers anymore. dont get me wrong, i still love to sit back and unwind with a nice cold one, but i just dont like going out and getting completely hammered anymore

You guys have me laughing like no other right now. Thanks for the laugh!

And like BAMF said, it is easy to say as a sophomore in highschool that you aren't going to drink, but just wait till 95% of your friends and classmates are doing it. Good luck, if you can not give in, more power to you, but it is very hard.

Why would you ever not want to give in? Also, just because you drink a few beers doesn't mean you have to get smashed...although in most cases for me it does.

The one thing you'll definitely learn from getting drunk is that you shouldn't have done it.

You will also learn what recycled barley and hops tastes like. :puke

I would get drunk just about every weekend, but beer tastes like doo-doo. Alcohol hurts your chest like a mofo as well. So I'll pass and just stick to the Doobies

Trust me i don't plan on it. Alot of friends drink and I think they are stupid. I also have no clue were I can get beer or anything like that since my parents don't drink.

I'm 25 and haven't had a drop. I've always said if it tastes anything like it smells I want no part of it. I still drink like I'm training for game day. Water and Gatorade.

I'm 44 and have NEVER even had a desire to drink alcohol. I have family and friends that like to drink and that's alright as long as they don't get drunk because most people look and act like idiots when they are drunk. And it's really not as funny as you might think! But, those who do get drunk usually pay for it the next day or two. And knowing that - WHY?

And on the subject of these high school students that you always hear about getting drunk, driving, having accidents, who are the idiots contributing to these minors?

Probably not, but no one can force you to do it. Personally, I say why the hell not. Jesus did it, why can't you do it?

I didn't drink at all when I was in high school. I was such a nerd LOL...but I look back and I am glad that I did not because I probably would have gotten into a lot of trouble!

Honestly, I didn't really drink at all until I was 21. I never had that desire until my friends took me out for my 21st birthday! lol

Now, I just drink socially with friends.
