So I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Europe this upcoming Monday with the Texas A&M Wind Symphony! We will be touring central Europe, visiting Prague (Czech Republic), Salzburg (Austria), and Munich (Germany). I fly from Houston to Atlanta to Frankfurt Monday, arriving Tuesday morning, and I leave on Wednesday the 23rd, following the same route back, arriving that evening. I am VERY excited and have been putting off telling yall this until the last second because I know it would just lead to me sounding like an @$$. ;) Anyway, I will take lots of pics for yall and hopefully teach those Europeans a thing or two about Texas. :D See yall on the 23rd (and don't let anything exciting happen while I'm gone ;)).

BTW, I'm not leaving the country until Monday morning, but I am leaving today (Saturday) to go back to College Station for rehearsals on Sunday, so I may or may not be back on here before I leave.

I envy you.

Find a bar in Salzburg where you can pay to throw donuts at pedestrians. My friend told me about it when she went a few years ago.

There are so many humor possibilities on this one, but since Mrs Slorch and one of the Jr Slorches are musically inclined, you get a pass.

I wish you safety and good times on your trip. Hopefully, you'll learn something along the way. Have fun in Europe...

Hey guys! I didn't want to start another thread so here it is...
I'm here ! I'm currently enjoying the city of Prague from the Angelo Hotel at 15000 Radlicka Street (should you care to look at a map). We arrived in Frankfurt by plane yeaterday at about 9:20 AM Central European Time and immediately got on a bus to Prague, which (after bathroom breaks and a lunch break) arrived here at about 6:30. I went out with some friends last night (no, there was no drinking involved... ;)) and now it is about 5:15 AM Wednesday here. I am thoroughly enjoying myself and we will have a lot of free time to explore the city today. The weather here is very nice (high of about 70ish and low in the 40s) but I think I like Texas folk better because while the people here are friendly at times, they are not near as hospitable. :) Anyway, if we have internet in our hotel in Salzburg, I will update yall, other wise it will be Munich or Home before I talk to yall again. Hope everything's well in the states and BTW the Desperados are now 10-1 and are the first team to have clinched a playoff berth with their win Monday night over the Chicago Rush. :D
Best wishes and I'll see yall again soon!

My boys play violin and piano, but...I CANNOT LET THIS ONE GO BY!

That's some trick there DB06. From Houston to Atlanta to Frankfurt to Houston to Atlanta to Frankfurt. And you will be back home? Must be a special A&M routing. Sorry, couldn't resist. :D

Have a great time and come back safe. Salzburg is the best! Eat at least 2 Mozart Kugeln for me.
