Ya it's a bit useless to do it before the bowl games/playoffs. I noticed that (if) Dirk winning MVP is EXACTLY like Bush winning the Heisman because they both had great teams that had a shot at it all but were beaten by a team that was better or had a better day/series

How exactly is Terry a punk? A punk is Baron Davis or Stephen Jackson or it could be Bruce Bowen if you count for how he plays on the court.
Unless you've seen Bowen punch a player in the groin or throw a player down on an inbounds play, I'd say you can hardly rank Bruce alongside Terry. You will NEVER see Bowen getting violent with another player. Terry, Jackson, and Melo are all punks in my eyes. Bowen gets a lot of crap because he plays "dirty" but nothing he ever does is intentional. Players like to complain about physical defenders because there aren't a whole lot of them left. Bowen makes mistakes and sometimes it almost causes an injury to someone, but if players are concerned about getting too physical once in a while, then they should try playing croquet.

He is speaking to his character. Bowen is not a dirty player. Pop would not allow it. But Pop wants him to bang. I have read a lot about Bowen. He is not a thug. He is a good guy. He knows he is fortunate to do what he is doing and plays hard. He helps his community. He completed is degree while playing for the Spurs. He is not out spending time at strip clubs and getting into trouble. This is the Legacy of David Robinson who led by example.

It's a matter of character and personal control. This Spurs community knows Bowen on a very personal level - he does all kinds of volunteer work. He's not a guy to get out there and try to hurt a player. It's not what this franchise does. Players get injured sometimes. That's part of the game. I think players are too busy complaining about fouls and contact and roughness that it gets the fans into the same mood. Basketball is a PHYSICAL GAME. It's not built around hard hits, but if players think that some tough defense that may include a few bumps here and there is a big deal, then they need to take their game to the D-League.

If you are going to get on here and call it a "piledrive" you are going to get it right back...it was a total flop..Once the T was called he jumped up laughing...soccer players everywhere were grinning, knowing what they had just seen.

OK well all I see was him get "took down" I wasn't sure about a flop and in real life I could see a flop because trust me I ref soccer games and you usually can tell.

I was at the game in San Antonio when Bowen punched Finley in the kidneys as he was running up the court. Like always, it was because Finley was lighting Bowen up. Almost all of Bowen's dirtiest moves have come when somebody was putting on a show.
Bowen's ankle sprain move isn't an accident because it's happened too much to be bad luck.

1. Bowen is a good guy off the court.
2. Bowen does what he does to stay in the NBA.
That means he's going to cross the line and do dirty stuff. On the court, I consider both Bowen and Terry to be thugs.
Since when has Pop been a good guy? That dude is a former Air Force officer and I can tell you that many of them aren't exactly the most credible people. I wouldn't trust Pop with my dog.
