What are his stats so far and what teams are left on their schedule. Is he better then Longviews Vondrell McGee

I don't know. He benefits from the biggest offensive line in the country so its hard to tell how good he is.

Give me a break, the biggest line in the country. We have only 2 players over 300 pounds. Dimitri is the real deal and I don't know if he's better than McGee. They both are special players.

Dimitri Nance and LaDerrick Handy are both very good running backs. I think they are equal, maybe even a little better, to the Vondrell McGee-Chris Ivory combo at Longview.
They play behind a huge OL, but you still have to run through what they open up and make people miss downfield.

yea, Nance is the real deal---great running back, fast and elusive.....they really seem to be pretty equal, IMHO.......would love to see what Chris and Vondrell would do running behind that size of a line???

FWIW, I think North Shore has the biggest line in the state this year. Their guards are 6'3 360 and 6'1 340.

Can someone post the numbers of the Carter O-line and the Euless O-line for comparison. These are probably the two biggest lines in the state this year seing as Curtis Bailey alone is the size of an O-line.

If not North Shore, Carter may have the biggest.
D. Love 6-3 260
R. Armstead 6'2 315
C. Bailey 6'7 340
L. Rice 6'3 320
L. Loggin 6'3 294

Didnt they have a 6'7 300+ guy?
And I've seen St.Pius X(Tapps) twice this year...they have a MONSTER O lineman...a real man amongst boys. At times it seems unfair. Before all the nay-sayers come in and critisize his competition....this guy could be a major player on the 5A level also.....they also have a Soph. QB...that has my attention. Billy Noonan...I think that's his name....remember it :D

North Shore has a DL, Ryan Riggins, that is 6'7 310. They grow em big.

That Arrmstead wouldnt happen to be the son of the great Jessi Armstead anybody know.
I really want to see Euless run against a quality defense. They sould beat Coppeell but what about Nimitz in to weeks there 3-0

No sir, that's not Jessie's son. I don't even know if there's any type of relation there.

I played against all of them in Jr. High, and LaDerrick was really nothing special. Infact, he didn't do anything at all, it was now #20 on Trinty, who was their running back at Harwood Jr. High, not LaDerrick. That team was bad. Central Junior High had Dmitri Nance and DeAndre English sharing running back duties, and both of them were really good. I know Dmitri is a good back as he was pretty good at Central. Trevor was awful when we played them, but he was surrounded by a bad team at Euless Junior High.

You folks on this website are pieces of work. If you go to a freaking dance you usually dance with the girl you bring don't you. So be it Trinity has good size linemen. SLC has good receivers other teams have good players at other positions. Nance has the luxury of being on a good football team. You folks can't stand it out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You don't have to be a rocket scientist to feel the jealousy out here. So folks Nance is the real deal with a damn good offensive line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I talk to him after every game and he is a nice kid that calls grown ups SIR!! How many kids out there do that today?????? So if you don't know the kid or have seen him play YOU DON'T KNOW AS USUAL KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT! :)

Yeah i think Coppell has the most undersized oline, i mean last year our lightest O-linemen was 190 (me) :) we avg about 220 last year, or biggest Jimmy Skaggs 6'1 245lbs (Full ride D2)... this years oline has a starter that is 5'11 (if that) 185 (once again if that)...they are quick but ETs dline will dominate them this week

While many c this coppell game as a Trinity lock, u can never underestimate a team with an underdog mentality, home field advantage and impact player the team can rally behind. Even though for a FACT that ET PLAYERS' focus is only on Coppell, i personally challenge them to be better than the trojans that played in Tyler.

#20 is my cousin Torrey Pinkerton... he is the starting free safety and kickoff cover...
But they are great backs... very elusive and make people miss downfield. Like people said it doesnt hurt to have one of the biggest olines in the state

The Nimitz record is a bit deceptive, they have beat a horrible Lewisville team and a pretty bad Lamar team (nice call ridgepride), I have a feeling that Trinity will cruise through this district as well as region 1 in the division 1 playoffs. Also Nance is a fine back, i saw this Trinity team last year and can only imagine what a year has done for this team. I have always been a Steve Lineweaver fan and really enjoyed watching Trinity in the playoffs, those who say that Nance benefits from a great line and is not a great back need to get there vision checked. Nance could easily be a 2000 yard back this year with vittatoe coming close to throwing for 2000. Trinity is for real this year, and I think people from outside of HEB are starting to realize this.

bhs06 is famous for posting things he knows nothing about. But it is fun to read when somebody who knows the truth sets him straight. The story of Nance and Handy is known by most people in the area. I really do not worry about how good a running back is. I decide by how well the team plays together. Both Trinity backs are very generous and do well as a tandem. One thing I can agree with is that You cannot afford to be too confident when playing Coppell. They have plenty of desire and athletic ability to surprise anyone. This weekend will be a good game, but the Trinity o-line will wear down the defense due to size, strength, and speed.

Exactly, I don't remember him from Jr. High and thats why I said he did nothing. I remember in the Newspaper a few weeks ago it said he went to Harwood, and I couldn't remember him at all.

Nance really bulked up over the summer and went from an above average back to a legit d1 prospect. I would say there's not a lot of difference between him and McGee. Last year there was a noticeable difference...Dimitri has worked hard and by the year's end will be respected as one of the best in Texas.

Laderrick didn't even play football in Junior High in Texas. He moved here from Georgia at the end of 9th grade BHS06.

I have to kind of laugh when I read posts about how great a running back is. I can assure you that Trinity would not trade him for anything. He is very good for his team. I bet Lineweaver wouldn't trade him for Moody or Evans or anyone else. Have we heard this same type of arguement before????? Look what I changed on Farmerfan's quote. My point is this, we can debate all day long about the qualities of a tailback. Nance is great, for Trinity, and that is ALL that matters. What anyone else thinks of him besides their coaching staff is not relevant at all. There will be people come on here and debate his merits. At SLC we've seen/heard this for 3 years. Trinity is 3-0 and Nance is a huge part of that. Enough said.
Also Luna is a fine back, i saw this Carroll team last year and can only imagine what a year has done for this team. I have always been a Todd Dodge fan and really enjoyed watching Carroll in the playoffs, those who say that Luna benefits from a great line and is not a great back need to get there vision checked. Luna could easily be a 2000 yard back this year with Daniel coming close to throwing for 4000. Carroll is for real this year, and I think people from outside of the AREA are starting to realize this

Nance is hard to tackle because he never stops pumping his legs and he breaks so many tackles - he just won't give up. They ought to start a new statistic category - yards after first touch by opponent. Nance would be right up there in the top three if not first. He hasn't played a full game yet, so just think what his stats would be then.
