Carroll seems to be able to bring a lot of points in from the distance events.
I'm not sure the "speed"schools will have enough depth to bring a lot of points in wth the speed events.
Good luck to all this weekend!!
Run each race as if it were your last!

The key is always being represented well in the relays since the points double in those events.
Lewisville has qualified for the 4x1 and 4x2 relays and is represented in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and 200 meter

Your joking right...Carroll will finish with a max of 32 points (Coby's 20 and CJ may get 12...if that)

I'm pretty sure Colby Lowe and CJ Brown are the only qualifiers. Tomlin didn't make it..

Your correct, and though they are great YOUNG distance runners and can quite possibly finish 1, 2 in both races thats not enough points to win the meet this year.

as long as we can maintain our times in the relays, KLEIN FOREST will win of course!!!!!

Just looking at the number of events they have qualified for, Cedar Hill has the best chance of taking the team title.
The horns have qaulified for the following events:
Triple Jump
2 in the Long Jump
Discuss
4X400
4X100
300 hurdles.

I personally think it will between Cedar Hill and Lewisville. Lewisville had a huge showing at the Region 1 meet, but the lack of experience at the BIG MEET can be their down fall. Everyone of Cedar Hill's qualifing athletes have competed at the state meet...even all the legs on their relays. Not to mention the majority of them played on Dec. 23rd at the Alamo Dome in The State Football Championship. Cedar Hill should win.

SLOOOOOOOOOOOW down there Lone ranger!
I didn't say that SLC would WIN the state meet.
I simply stated that two distance guys that are gooooood can bring in a lot of points. Four "placings" does not a state champion make.
However, most people do forget about the distance events.
A good distance program can win state if they are good and have depth in the 800, 1600, and 3200.
Most attention goes to the speed events. But, speed is not built by a program. You either have it or you don't. A distance program can be developed and can dominate with points.
In H.S., we would sweep the 880, mile, and 2 mile. We would always win the Pole Vault, Shot, and both low and high hurdles. We had a great team. Our biggest competition was a speed school. They would sweep the 100. Get 1st and 2nd in the 200. 1st in the 440. They would take the 440 relay. BUT, we would drop down two half milers for the Mile Relay and beat them. Their egos couldn't handle it.
Anyway, good luck to all !
I am spending time with the wife for M's Day. Or I would love to go watch the action at UT.

Got to disagree with you.
Observations, first. The meet you describe, must have been district, or a 1A regional. But I don’t believe it could have been state, at any level.
Hard to believe that your team won pole vault, shot, high hurdles (and I’m really suspicious of the low hurdle claim) with distance guys!
If you were running a 440 and a 880, than you weren’t running a 200. It was a 220.
As long as the UIL offers 20 points for winning a relay event, and especially since they added the 4X200 relay to the boys events, winners for a major 3A and above meet is going to favor the sprint schools! The long distance (Cross country) schools wanted them to add 4X800 instead.

Go to the UIL site and they will post the results. They have most of them posted but are slow with some results.
