I dont know how many other districts are starting district play but i know 15 and 16-6a start this week. We start out with a pretty big test, playing RR McNeil at their place (i dont know about game of the week, but it has potential to be one of the better games). Who else starts district play this week.

Austin Bowie at Westlake.
Leander and McNeil ought to be a good one, but having seen both play, I'd take Leander by 17. Leander looks to be in the same form they were in in 2003.
If Bowie can rebound from a loss this Fri. and make the play-offs, a Westlake vs. Leander rematch could be a reality. Don't know if that will happen though.

If Bowie makes the playoffs that would mean that either Leander or Westlake would have to finish either 2nd or 3rd in district. If we both win then Westlake would play Pflugerville and Leander would play Hays (most likely).

So who's going D-1 in 15-5A? If Bowie doesn't in 16-5A, them Westlake is next in line.

Do they play tackle or flag football in Austin?

What are you getting at? Westlake dominated the San Antonio Schools when they were in Region IV. They may have had a weak district, but they dominated the whole region most years as well.
Also, Judson always has had a hard time with Austin Bowie whenever they hook up in the 1st round.
Here's some trivia: The last 5A AISD school to win in the first round was Crockett over Judson, yes Judson, and yes that Crockett. I'm not sure of the year, but it was early 90's.

Show me the rings and the trophies. And I am not talking about runner up trophies.. As far as Austin dominating Judson. What?

^^I don't understand what you are getting at. It was stated on this board that Pflugerville played better than Judson when they hooked up but turned the ball over too much. Sure it was a win, but come on bro, you can't act like Austin Area football isnt on par with SA. If Austin Area was in Region 4 we would have the same success as SA teams since you get to have two bye weeks basically before you get to the big boys in region 3 (wait did i say big boys...). I ment until the state championship you play nobody. If yall were in Region 2 you could say the same thing. And badger...
As far as enrollment goes this is the order from largest to smallest.
1. Georgetown
2. RR Westwood
3. RR McNeil
4. Cedar park
5. Pflugerville
6. Leander
7. RR Stony Point
8. Round Rock high
So unless Rond Rock makes the playoffs, you guys would either play RR Westwood RR McNeil or Cedar Park (i'm not including Gtown because they wont make the playoffs, trust me)

^^The way ECA is playing, any of the 4 teams that are top 25 worthy in the Austin Area would beat them. Don't come at me like we dont play good ball lol. Maybe you should check and see if ECA is worthy of playing football against texas teams, the way some teams are doing them dirty.

I didn't mention ECA. They have nothing to do with the question at hand or the comment that I made.
Currently, I know they are sucking really hard. I would bet that even your Leander Lions could score once or twice on them.. :p
But no, ECA isnt worthy of playing Texas teams this year. I think that point was proven in weeks 2 and 3.
Again though, we aren't talking about ECA. We were talking about the "flag" teams they have around the Austin area. I'd bet my Smackover Buckaroos would give these Austin teams a real run this year...hahaha..

^^lol haha, believe what you want i guess. I'm not saying an Austin Area team will win the state championship but we have improved each year. Last year Pflugerville lost to Lufkin in the 2nd round, Cedar Park lot to Lufkin in the 4th round and McNeil lost to eventual state champion Tyler Lee in the 3rd round. At least two teams out of Leander, Pflugerville, McNeil, or Westlake will get past the 2nd round. You heard it here first (even though thats not that bold of a prediction). Who all have you seen besides Leander and Westlake?? Have you gone and checked out Pflugerville yet?

I'm just chiding you mainly...
I have only been to that one game here.. I will see Pflugerville, McNeil, and Hutto play one way or the other. I was thinking that I would be in Austin more on the weekends, but Baby isnt going to let my having a car go to waste. She keeps planning all this crap that involves me going back to Shreveport. Which would be better if I could go and see ECA play. But I cant get to Shreveport before the game is over on Fridays.. haha.. I dont get done at work until game time.. I'm going to Shreveport this Friday, but I am going to check the schedules for this week and see who is playing on this side of town or on the way home and see if I cant at least catch something up till half time. Also I am really trying to find a way to get to Smackover to see them play one this year.. Since I am claiming them as my hometown.. :D
