dang slorch you must really hate the mavs or just get tired of Lonny or something.
Never thought I'd see the day when a Texan would pull for a cali team over a Texas team.

As for me it's not Lonny. I just can't stand Mark Cuban. The only Texas team I'm pulling for is Houston. San Antonio can get beat too and I wouldn't care.

I admit 2 things.

I don't really care about the NBA, but I am wanting the Rockets to do well in the meantime.

I'd rather face GS than the prettyboys in Round2, so i am actually still wishing well for a Texas team.

That's anti-Texan. :D I'm rooting for Dallas - but anticipating a GS win - something like 108-100.

this all depends... if the mavs come out and play the full game like they did the first 5 minutes of game 5 then theyll bring on a game 7, but if they scew around and blow a lead i just dont see them coming back to win the game. We've gotta get out early and score, and dont stop being aggressive.

Well, I didn't vote in the poll for who I thought would win - but my vote for who I WANT to win is GOLDEN STATE, BABY!!!

Any real Texan wants the Mavs out sooner than later because their owner is a national embarrassment to the state.

Sorry man, those were pretty strong words of mine. I can't help the way I feel about Cuban. It's a tough deal. I used to root for the Mavs and him. I just can't do it any more.

I don't think dallas can come back from being down 3-1. They won one so now its 3-2 but the way GS played Dallas didn't win the game GS gave it to them. so I say GS wins it.

Oh believe me, I want the playoffs as Texas-infested as possible. But here's the deal: I don't like Mark Cuban. He's a fine owner and takes care of his team, but he's a lousy representative for sports. I also don't like Dirk Nowitski - I lost respect for him in 2005 when he blew up on his team DURING Game 6 against Phoenix when they slipped in overtime. Tim Duncan doesn't lose his composure on court when his team falters. He shoulders it like everyone else. I also think Jason Terry is a punk.

That being said, I like Avery Johnson. But not enough to counter my loathe for Dallas.

As for California teams, I want them out too. But I want Golden State to win tonight so that they can either lose to Houston or to San Antonio.
:D

GO WARRIORS!

The Mav's haven't been much over the years until Cuban bought them. Now they are a team that free agents want to play for. If standing up to Stern is wrong..I don't want Cuban to be right...Is there a song in there? Plus if you think Terry is a punk, take another look around the league...The Mav's are the anti-punk.

you hve to fo witht the Warriors....even in the Dallas wins they have had streaks where Dallas could do nothing to stop them. They are still confident and area t home where I think they feel they cant be beat. But, if Dallas can come out and play like champions and win this one they will take the series at home b/c it will totally deflate the Warriors.

I agree. If there is a game 7 Dallas will take it.

Well, all I know is the game 6 that I'll surely be watching is the Rockets-Jazz matchup. This series has been pretty good. It's a shame it's getting overshadowed.

Then again...it's rare for an 8 seed to be so close to eliminating a top seed title contender.

GO ROCKETS!!!

You know what...I think the Mavericks are gonna win this game. I might be wrong, but the Mavericks can play well on the road--just need to frustrate the Warriors. Especially their key players...they tend to unravel.

Go Mavs! Have this series go to Game 7. Now, of course if the Rockets go into the next round, I would rather have them face Golden State. Don't the Rockets have a better record against Golden State then they do Dallas?

Spurs have already advanced...time for Houston to do the same. Can't cheer against the Mavs...so go Mavs! Let's get all Texas NBA teams advancing in the playoffs!

just saw on ESPN that Baron Davis is shooting a little over 56% in this series. That is unreal. Maybe tonight he will go cold.....if he does then the Mavs will have a much better chance of winning.

Another thing that ahas been hurting the MAvs that non is talking about is fouls. Harris has been in fouls trouble early the last two games. He is a great at going to the hoop and that is what the Mavs need to be doing the most. He needs to stay out of foul trouble as does Diop and Howard who have gotten a lot of fouls

Throw out intimidation, past records, etc. and Dallas is the better team. If they play like it tonight, they should win.

Too bad you can't do that though. GS is in Dallas' head. Dallas is soft and afraid. I see them going down tonight.

Houston win + Golden State win + Houston homecourt 2nd round and I think Houston can catch the Warriors basking in their win against Dallas. But FIRST we have to take care of Utah....Like Jeff Van Gundy said "If you are in an alley having a knife fight, you don't point to another guy and say "When I get done with this dude I'm gonna kick your a@@""

They might have been in the Mav's head until Dallas scored the last 15 points Tuesday night...GS had it won and went senile...Game still on...

But the Warriors have shown they rebound well from a loss of composure. Games 2 and 3 were a strong indicator of that.

I think that despite the Mavs' little momentum they have building, Golden State still knows they are in control, and knows they can beat Dallas. I imagine they'll start off slow at first, but the crowd will light a fire in them that will help them surge past Dallas.

There are other punks, trust me I know. Carmelo is a big one. There are plenty. But the only punk on the Mavs is Terry. I lost all respect for him when he a) punched Finley in last year's Game 5 and b) threw Davis to the floor in this year's Game 5. Granted, Davis sold it a bit, but it's obvious that Terry shoved him. Stupid, unnecessary things like that are what enable people to compare Terry's antics to those of Melo's.

Davis sold the T, but it was an obvious dive... he hopped right up laughing as soon as the call was made...

Dallas' backs are against the wall, and they basically have to play like they have nothing to lose. Besides, the law of averages shows that the Mavs are due for a win in Oakland. Not only that, but, they've lost 6 road playoff games in a row dating back to the Finals. They're due! Oh, and if it matters, the Mavs were 31-10 on the road this season. For GOD'S sake, the Mavs won in San Antonio twice this year! This is driving me nuts!

Aw, hells' bells. Looks like I was wrong.

Rockets let me down...but at least the Rockets have another day.

Does anyone know if the Mavericks have shown up at Golden State yet?

What?...they have? Well, you could have fooled me! Goodness gracious! What the hell, happened? Believe me, I wanted the Mavs to win...but after tonight's performance--jeez, Golden State is laying down a pimp hand on the Mavs--they deserve to be labeled as underachievers, choke artists, etc. For crying out loud, this team won 67 games and is losing to an 8th seed! I can only recall Seattle losing to Denver in what...1994 or so....and the Heat to the Knicks (I think the Heat were a 1 seed and the Knicks were an 8 seed) where a 1 seed lost to an 8 seed.

Nope,

You won't see a meltdown from me. I get mad when the refs cheat Dallas and that is when I post a lot. I'm mad at the Mavs for not trying, but that's not a reason to blow up on here. I can't be too mad because GS was just too good for Dallas. They might sweep Texas. This might not be a one night stand.

Nope...they aren't going to be able to pull off those circus shots all through the playoffs. IF they run into the Spurs' nasty defense it'll be the end of the road.

The circus shots just made the margin wider. GS got plenty of shots in the paint, too.

Dallas reverted back to no D Dallas. Terrible defense on their part. If Houston can hang on against Utah - I think they may beat GS because they play D.
