does anyone have a clue what they are doing they have sucked since the beggining and seems like they are trying as hard as they can to keep driving the franchise straight into the ground they have no idea how to draft they passed on VY and reggie last year for some d-lineman that didnt do crap and theyre new first round d-lineman will probably do the same thing for a year or two (because he is 19) and theyre qb is going to spend alot of time on his back because they have no o-line

Okoye was a good pick. What in the hell are they doing after they picked Amobi? Looks like they are going back to 2006 and becoming Lions (Matt Millen) at the same time.

1) Okoye would've been a great pick....at the 16th or 19th spot....but at the 10th Pick?...Especially when you have these players on the board....LB-Patrick Willis, CB-Darrelle Revis, CB-Leon Hall, CB-Aaron Ross, S-Michael Griffin, WR-Robert Meachem, WR-Dwayne Jarrett, LB-David Harris and LB-Paul Poluszny ALL waiting in the wing. IMO, no knock on Okoye, but I didn't have him as the best DT on the board. (Alan Branch was my #1!)
2) Then comes the Jacoby Jones pick! WTF?! Let me get this straight...you have OG-Josh Beekman, OG-Manny Ramirez, OG-Andy Alleman, WR-Yamon Figurs, WR-Paul Williams, WR-Joel Filani, WR-Jarrett Hicks, WR-Aundrae Allison, WR-Mike Walker, WR-Laurent Robinson, WR-Jason Hill, QB-Trent Edwards, RB-Tony Hunt, CB-Jonathan Wade, SS-Aaron Rouse, CB-Daymeion Hughes, CB-Ryan Smith, CB-Tanard Jackson, CB-Tarrell Brown, LB-Rufus Alexander, RB-Michael Bush and OT-Doug Free ALL available, yet you pick a monsterous project such as Jacoby Jones? Even if you were smitten with the kid you could've got him much later.
Houston is definitely on pace to do what they normally do....nothing! Kubiak will help make them better....but not at this rate. He could barely hold himself together when discussing his draft selections with NFL Network Analysts. He had to be saying, "Guys....I'm the only person with a freakin' brain, in this camp! It's not my fault....I don't sign the checks!"

Exactly! What the hell were they thinking!!!!!! I bet you that they have Casserly doing their draft for them and nobody else knows about it but Houston.

im just appalled at the texans decision making they need to get there o-line issues settled first before they go for the d-line picks

You mean before they go for MORE D-line picks....
DE-Jason Babin (1st Round, 2004)
DT-Travis Johnson (1st Round, 2005)
DE-Mario Williams (1st Round, 2006)
DT-Amobi Okoye (1st Round, 2007)
There's a reason for this...
Only 8 players remain from the 2002 inaugural season: OL Chester Pitts, OL Fred Weary, OL Steve McKinney, LB Kailee Wong, DB Demarcus Faggins, DB Jason Simmons, K Kris Brown and P Chad Stanley. (Neither have gone to a Pro Bowl.)
...it's darn right embarrassing!

Yeah because they keep on trading their picks. I mean they could of had RB Antonio Pittman from Ohio State but they traded that pick to the Saints and they took him.

I like the Bennett (CB) pick for the Texans...

Yup. I think he will be a good player and he will fill the hole very nicely for McCallister should he go down with an injury.

Have to disagree with you guys. Pittman is overrated. He was pushed out by true-freshman Chris Wells! (YES...pushed out by a true freshman!) He isn't that big, at 5'10 190 lbs, has very little power and almost as injury prone as Adrian Peterson.
His health sheet...
2003: Missed three games and was bothered the entire season of his high school senior year with turf toe.
2004: Suffered a thigh bruise vs. Cincinnati (9/04), sitting out the next game vs. Marshall … Re-injured his thigh, leaving the Penn State game (10/30) and did not play the following week vs. Michigan State.
2005: Suffered a knee sprain vs. Texas (9/10).
2006: Missed three weeks of spring camp (3/31) and a week of fall drills (8/11) with a sore hamstring.
...many scouts say he plays way too soft! I agree! He doesn't welcome contact. Plus, he has only one game that he's carried the ball 30 times or more. He's a system RB! The first pick was bold and I like it. Robert Meachem is a Top 15 - if not Top 10 - player, IMO! However, players like C-Ryan Kalil, OG-Justin Blalock, S-Eric Weddle, OT-Joe Staley, CB-Marcus McCauley, CB-Chris Houston and TE-Greg Olsen were available...I might have gone that route. WR is the deepest position in the draft....there was plenty of room for N.O. to stock up on solid WR's, later on.
Many teams had horrible drafts, this year, IMO.

I'll go with that...but add that it wasn't a great class to draft from...like picking a quarterback in...what was it '78 or '79....
