Wasnt there a DT-Walter Thomas out of G-Ball a few years ago ? I think I saw him play in the Texas vs Louisiana All-Star game in Houston and he "dominated everyone."

If it's the same dude he signed with Okie St but I dont think he ever made it on campus.

If it's the same dude. I dont really know that deal and what's happened over the last few years.

But, he was "stud" playing in the Tx/La All-Star game. He was like 6-5/320 with a motor and was basically picking up O-lineman and throwing them like rag-dolls.

Me and my friend were at the game and kept saying to each other, "Why didnt Texas go after this kid." I guess I know why now.;)

Went to Galveston Ball...kicked out of OSU I think...went to a small CC in Mississippi(?)...some say he's a sleeper.

Ok ,, it's the same dude. I knew he went to G-Ball and signed with OSU. I knew he wasnt on OSU roster but never really knew what happened to him.

He "WAS" and I assume still is a big DT. He was freaking huge on that field. I mean that kid was like 6-5/320ish and not fat.

But, he may turn out to be another Marcel Moses (Tx City) that was also a stud but fail off the planet earth.

Some guy called in to the radio station and said that his son is good friends with Thomas and that he has somewhat changed his life around. NY Times did a story on him last week:

Cool,, Thanks. I hope it all works out for the young man. No doubt that he has the God Given talent. But most times it takes more than just God Given talent.

Good story on Walter Thomas. I do think he has bigtime NFL potential and could be a NFL Pro Bowl level player. He just needs to get his act together and get focused.

Will Walter Thomas (G-Ball) get drafted ?? I'm betting that some team will draft him in the 7th Rd.

He might have the best upside out of many of the DT's in this entire draft. He just needs to get some of the personal issues fixed.

I bet within a day or two Walter Thomas will have a free-agent contract signed. I wouldnt be surprised at all to see Houston sign him.

I hope someone picks him up, he sounds almost untrue with his athleticism

I saw him play in the Tx vs La All-Star game in Baytown a few years ago. He was a freaking beast on that field for an All-Star game. He was like (6-5/320) then and was basically throwing O-lineman all around.

No doubt he has the physical ability to play in the NFL and play at a very high level. I guess the only real question is if he is mature enough and can remain out of trouble. I think the NFL scouts and management are paying closer attention these days to those "off-field" issues.

(ie. Walter Thomas and Ramonce Taylor).

I dont know if it's official. But, I think big Walter Thomas signed a free-agent deal with the New Orlean Saints.

ps. I also see the LB- Wade Koehl (Midland High & UH) signed with the Saints as a F/A. Hope he can stick on the team because I've always thought he was a heck of a player. I remember the State Title game (Midland High vs Judson) and he was a beast in that game. I also believe he pretty much started all 4 years at UH.

It didn't take him long...

Massive undrafted prospect DT Walter Thomas, who played spare collegiate games at Oklahoma State and NW Mississippi Community College, lasted 15 minutes in his first pro practice.

Wow, that surprises me some. I really thought he had a pretty legit chance of making the team (either active roster or practice roster).

One thing we cant really judge in a dude is his "heart" and I guess deep down Walter Thomas is a very big dude, that has God Given natural athletic skills but has Little Will or desire (ie. Heart) to succeed at the highest level of football (NFL).

He always has is "rap music" career in Galveston, Tx to fall back on.
