It'll never happen - remember he has to block the outside end and run the fake dive to himself before he can get out into the pattern. That will be just TOO much for a junior.

Well you know the saying, "Even a broke clocks right twice a day". I feel bad for Plano fans, since they're still waiting for that second time.:D

The 05 squad performed brilliantly, great heart, talented bunch. Played SLC down to the wire.
They advanced as far as they did, DESPITE being shackled with an albatross for a coach. Massive credit goes to that bunch. Last years team had that potential. Lot's of early injuries, same coach. Result = Bad year.

don't forget, gb was the hc on 2 pretty successful teams in the early 90's too, tho many give more credit to the assts than him.

From the looks of Brence's shorts in that video, he hasn't had a wardrobe change since the early 90's either.

You also remember that was only 2 years removed from Tom Kimbrough and 27 years of top notch High school football. I could of coached those teams to their success. Trust me Brence did not coach those guys to a state final and state championship. They won in spite of them. I watched everyone of those games and it was all about the qb keeping the ball on options and sweeps. thank god he wasn't the DC because that is what caused them to go to 2 straight finals.

I watched the video and I all I saw was Brence yelling alot and talking about shotgun and no hudle.. I laughed my ***!! Any 9-5a Scout I can save you the trip to clark on scouting Plano. It will be toss left and toss right to Burkhead.

Brence is a blow hard and an excuse maker who has worn out his stay at Plano. The players know it, the QB club knows it. I guess Principal Dean has his head in the sand or doesn't give a S!!! about 12 years of crap results on the field minus 2 decent years.

One last points who is the marketing firm that Plano hired to cherry coat spring practice. I guarantee you Kimbroug was not having cook outs at practice and having a good old time at spring.

Last comment, I never hear Kimbrough yell during my 2 years in the program. I heard Brence yell and insult more in a 5 minute video clip than Kimbrough ever did. What a joke of a head coach. I know better pee wee coaches who coach and teach and communicate better than that knuckle head.

I think a lot of that had to do with experience. If I'm not mistaken a lot of those seniors played a lot as sophmores during Plano's 0-10 season and the following year during the 4-6 season. By the time they were seinors they had the experience under their belt to go along with some talent. I also believe they had a starter or two that were Katrina evacuees but I'm not 100% certain on that.

You gotta give the guy credit he is just trying to get them a head start on tailgate training and cooking out for the family. :D

I think the Allen and Plano HC's have run into the "Peter Principle" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Principle).

Allen's coach is working on bad snap drills with the QB's and Plano's coach, you know who, is yelling at the kid, telling him he needs to make that play. That sums it up what is wrong at Plano, Allen coach, developing players (practicing for the worst case scenerio) vs Plano Coach, relying on talent (just telling a kid what he should do or what he did wrong). This is why kids do not develop at Plano. You have to give your assistant coaches time to run their players through drills and work on the small things. We have some great assistant coaches at Plano. If GB didn't feel so threatened when he realizes somebody knows more than him about something, we might get something done at Plano.
