J. Lane

Jav. Lane is looking pretty good running over a tired SMU defense in the 4th qt. This might rile some of the Pac faithful but J. Lane looks like his going to have to really watch his weight. He looks like a younger version of Jamaar Toombs. The only problem is Toombs pretty much "ate" his way out of being a NFL running-back.

Dont want to see J. Lane get that way because I think his got some great skill.

hes only a freshman...by next year he will start to lose a little weight and by his senior year, he will still be 220-225 maybe 230 cuz they wont let him lose too much

I think you might need to look again, Lane is still at his playing size from last year, and I know what I,m talking about because he was at my home last week ,saying good-bye as he was heading back to A&M.You are right that he will need to control it and I think A&M would see to that if they are smart.Look at the Texas back , heck that kid is 275.

I'm not knocking him. I'm just saying that its something his going to have to watch over the next years and during his playing years for sure.

I've seen enough of J. Lane. You're right, his about the same size has his HS days. But, I can also see that he has the body type that if he doesnt really watch it and work hard he can put on about 30 lbs really fast. His just got that body type.

No question Lane needs to watch his weight. The guy absolutely amazed me in almost every single game i have seen him play. He will be special if he controls his weight.
