I know I know they are 3A or is it 4A now? But they were wanting to beat us sooooo bad! They made this their Homecoming game! I promise you, in the 30 years that I have been watching football, I have never seen refs reverse a play on the field after the next play had already started!! I kid you not. AND Shipley previously was so out of control that one of the refs had to run him down the sideline and threaten to throw him out of the game :D
If we had lost this game, it would have made us puke. I mean it was a clear cut case of a coach out of control and the "make up" call two plays later with the reverse call. PUHLEEZ!!

It is rare to see a 5a team play a 3a team but i know Burnet is one of the best in 3a each year. When i saw that San Marcos played them is surprised me??

Burnet made the 3A state finals two consecutive years before moving up to 4A last year and falling in the opening round of the 4A DII playoffs. Burnet is no pushover.

Defintely no pushover....Good grief...they came out for that second half like crazy men....then the crowd went bonkers when momentum shifted...Then I started getting that quickening of the heart rate with a touch of nausea...yeah...you guys know EXACTLY what I'm saying....We are going to savour that victory. But now district play begins...We are in the District with Schertz Clemens(more nausea to come I'm sure) :D . We have what it takes to make a serious run if we get the problems in the secondary fixed :)

Don't worry, SM always gives me nausea when we play them. You guys always play us a tight, tough game. This year will be no different! I sure am glad that SM has to come to our house for this one! Is the new coach still running the same offense? That offense Bush ran is scary! When the kids run it right, it is hard to shut down! Our defense has really stepped up from last year and our offense is still struggling quite a bit. They are trying to get a couple of new wrinkles in it and air it out a little more this year with our new coach, but so far they have not had much success. If they do get the passing game going, then look out! With the backfield we have we could be dangerous this year! Good luck to the Rattlers, we'll see you in a few weeks in Buffalo Land.

Without giving away too much...suffice it to say that we still believe in running the ball. I think that since we already know we will never put the largest team on the field, the offense we run and massive conditioning is the key to our success. I met some Buff parents at the McDonalds in
Garden Ridge one night, on our way home from a SA game, very nice classy people. We had our purple on(can't remember if it was before or after we played yall)must have been before because I don't remember being upset :D . They were very nice and conversational. Yeah...it will be a tough game in yall's house but we will be ready ;) I really like this board, I've had a decent conversation with a Westlake fan and a Schertz fan!! Cool! :)

A very good 3a team with Shipley and McGee. That team could have beaten a bunch of 5a teams simply with that connection alone.

Very similar CB but there are a few variations. Both defenses are tough so I expect a low-scoring game. There's a lot of season still to be played before that game though.

You are right about a lot of season to be played yet but I honestly don't see any other teams in the playoff race except SM, Seguin, and Clemens in 25-5a. I guess I could be wrong but I don't see any of the other four teams competing at that level this year. It will be a great race between the three teams mentioned above for the 25-5a title. See you in Schertz in about 41/2 weeks. Keep em' healthy and stay undefeated!
