Someone tell me about Jemarcus Haywood? When I saw him in the Katy game he wasn't impressive and fumbled on a play that looked like he just gave the ball away!

He looked a lot better in the Northshore game. He should be able to spell Burns and not lose too much. He doesn't heve Burn's speed, but does have a little more power. Not too sure about his hands, I haven't seen him throw to him much.

Well that is good news! As long as he looked better then he did in week Zero then I am fine with that! I will be there tonight, hopefully he looks good.

Jemarcus is a nice addition to the backs with his power he offers Burns good lead blocking and periodic rest. What was really interesting was the JV game last night. We have a LA transfer (sophmore I believe) that runs 10.5 in the 100 meter and 4.25-4.3 40 speed ( this info was from his Dad ). I don't know them well enough to know if these numbers had a little family pride padding in them but I did see him burn everyone on the field. His power is lacking but if he breaks loose he is gone. He is not eligible for varsity for another week I believe.

The Woodz Oline is going to have to improve dramatically before they can start thinking about competing with Lufkin this year. Hard for a RB to gain many yards when they are continually hit in the backfield.

The OL is a work in progress. Also, the RB's need to help out on the pass protection.

Parsons I think works better out of the shot-gun. He needs reps...The offense needs to produce some drives and score some points.

I wouldn't be suprised if the D gets some points tonight....

They proved this even more tonight! We got the win, but with SO many offensive mistakes I don't know how. This game was hard to watch when offense had the ball tonight, but our defense is still kicking some butt. They didn't look as good as last week but they got the job done when needed! Offense still has SO much work to do!!

We have NO QB!!! We also have one of the WORST Offensive's in High School Football TODAY! We will NOT get far if that is all we have to offer.

But the Woodz D is good and good D is what wins championships.
Woodz D might hold long enough for the offense to come around. Even if the Woodz gets in the playoffs as your districts 3rd place team it will be one of the best 3rd place teams in a while.
Humble has some players don't they. Do you think they will make the playoffs?

I've been coming here for 2 years! I had a twhs screen name but had to change now that my other son is at College Park. Just don't like to post too much. Alot of people think woman don't know much about football but I've been watching it ALL my life; grew up watching the Dallas Cowboys every Sunday with my dad, that is until they got rid of Landry!! But I LOVE IT!! Especially the Friday Night kind!

Over in the Woodz it's the HighlanderNation. Braveheart, Mel Gibson, the Scottish thing. It started a couple years ago. It's all fun and over the top...Hell we're in Texas aren't we!

I know, but my son REALLY likes it a College Park! We even told him we would move so he could be a Highlander like his brother but he said no. His freshman B team is doing pretty good and we're enjoying watching new traditions form, but we really miss the Highlander traditions ALOT! I'm half Scottish and I truly enjoyed the Scottish theme. We will follow the Highlanders as long as possible.
