Not a chance. Right after it happened, I told a guy I don't worry about his ankle injuries and he'll play the next game. I cared more about whether or not they were going to win the game and they did with Howard also getting hurt and George sitting out the back half of a back to back just because he's not 100% yet.

I've seen Dirk turn so many ankles that it barely affects him. The more you turn them, the easier it is to do it again, but the quicker you come back. Dirk is a fast healer. He was sick in the last game, but played anyway.

Here are the numbers I care about.

Mavs Division Magic Number: 2
Mavs Conference Magic Number: 6

It will be their 2nd Division title ever. The first was the 55-27 season of 1986-1987 and the Mavs were the 2 seed behind the 65-17 Lakers who would win the title. The Mavs were upset by Seattle in 4 games in Round 1 and that led to **** Motta's firing and John MacCleod's hiring. The Mavs made it to Game 7 of the Conference Finals the next year as a 3 seed with a 53-29 record.

This will be the first time the Mavs will ever be the #1 seed in the Western Conference or have the NBA's best record.

The Mavs won't tie the Bulls at 72-10, but they're comparable for long stretches. Only the 66-67 76ers can match the Mavs 46-4 in the last 50 games over any stretch of a season and only the 95-96 Bulls can match the Mavs 60-7 pace since the first 4 games.

Quickest to 60 wins in NBA history:

95-96 Bulls 60-8 (63-8 after 71 games)
96-97 Bulls 60-9 (62-9 after 71 games)
06-07 Mavericks 60-11
70-71 Bucks 60-11
66-67 76ers 60-11
