There is a lot of football to be played between now and November, but as of now it looks like Rowlett and Garland are the teams to beat in district 11-5A, with SG just behind. I think, at this point, RHS is better than either SG or NG. The Eagles play both those teams in the next two weeks, so we will know for sure.

Of course, what do I know? I thouht RHS would be lucky to finish 5th.

Not dogging on pierce or anything but ya gotta look at the teams hes doin this against. Plano West Wylie, these arnt necessarily very good teams. Just for comparison Dante Sloan had 150 against Desoto and Plano East and over 300 against the defendings 4a state champions. Dont get me wrong, im not at all saying he is not good because i think he is great but just saying will he be able to do this against better teams.

Not wanting to dispute, but Wylie is ranked #4 in area 4A, one spot below Ennis. Plano West advanced all the way to round 4 in the playoffs last year and beat SG before losing to Rowlett. Those are both pretty good programs. Pierce is for real - now, will he be able to run like that against Garland? That is the question...

How can you say that they haven't played good teams. Cedar Hill, Plano West and Wylie will probably all make the playoffs and make some noise. He has rushed at least 250 yards in each of those games. Desoto is not all that great or I guess Euless Trinity is that much better than Garland.

DeSoto is good, ET is just THAT much better than DeSoto... Garland played their worst game in years...turnover after turnover and still took 5ot's to lose against the Eagles... But yes Trinity is that much better than DeSoto.
