Duke...I think I saw College park in the paper playing a private school...will they be 5A or was that just a JV squad?

Wagner may have a press. They have everything else there. I'm not too sure it warrants any more pub than what I just gave it. Never heard too much about that game though.

BTW, does anyone know if Steele and Wagner HS will have their own stadiums or are they sharing with Clemens and Judson??

Wagner has a stadium that will be for JV football and possibly Soccer (im not sure about the soccer). All varsity games will be played at Judson Stadium

I'm sure Wagner will repay the favor and make sure they know who Wagner is!

I can answer that...you saw our JV. They have been playing 4A varsities and some private school varsities trying to get as much experience as possible for next year. Yes, we are 5A (as far as I know) and we're hearing it will be awhile before we have to play The Woodlands, at least in football. My son played on varsity at The Woodlands last year and my other son now plays for CP as a freshman. It's been an adjustment cheering for another team but I will always be a highlander at heart and will cheer for them always, at least until they're on the other side of the field. Not looking forward to that rivalry!!!

I've heard rumors about Wylie and Highland Park both moving up to 5a but dont bank me on it because I've only heard things and havent seen any official proof.

I think you got them mixed up with someone else. Wagner and Steele Scrimmaged and Wagner outscored Steele by a TD. That was in the series they ran. I think it might have been 2 TD's (Wagner scored on an int). In the Quarter---Wagner and Steele both scored and Wagner missed the PAT. So the score for that was 7-6. (no offense to the Steele players/fans..it may have only been a 1 TD advantage in the first part) But Wagner and Steele have not played a game!!

Keller Central will move up to 5A, and Carrolton Ranchview has an outside shot at making the jump from 3A to 5A, but most likly they will be in 4A...

Wagner will be 5A.
Steele will be 4A.
I've heard that right now Steele has enrollement numbers that will possibly put them in 3a the next two years.

How will the two new schools effect Katy's enrollment numbers next year?

Morton Ranch has taken a little, but not that much from Katy. It took more from Mayde Creek. Seven Lakes doesn't effect Katy High. Seven Lakes (flood control ponds) takes mostly from Cinco Ranch.

College Park -- varsity in all sports EXCEPT football this year --already in district play for volleyball. This year football is JV -- played and lost to varsity 3A Stafford -- played and beat varsity private Bay Area Christian --supposed to play varsity 2A San Augistine --rest of schedule will be JV . Not playing Woodlands JV this year. Next year with new UIL re-alignment --- College Park will be 5A ( projected enrollment 2500 - including 1st sr class) with the other CISD 5A schools Woodlands , Conroe , Oak Ridge --rest of district unknown until UIL works its magic ( best guess the 4 Klein schools for an 8 team district )

Bullrock I was there watching the Wagner / Steele Scrimmage. Wagner scored 5 times, Steele scored twice. Once in the Quarter and once in the scrimmage both against Wagners two's. My nephew plays for Wagner and just from what I saw it would be no contest if a real game were to be played. Wagner would roll.

Are you telling me that eventually they are gonna play each other?
Highlanders vs. Cavaliers?

Of coarse TWHS and CP will play each other next year. Why wouldn't they?
They will obviously put the 4 Conroe ISD schools in the same district and the obvious one is with the 4 KISD but that will relegate Lufkin back toward Dallas, East Texas or into the Golden triangle and I think they are trying to be fair to Lufkin and not treat them like a poster child. It is a great program and not that bad. I think Huntsville drops back down but don't count on the obvious.

putting lp with the golden triangle prolly makes the most sense, so therefore prolly is the least likely to occur.

I think Huntsville and maybe Conroe Oakridge both may drop back to 4a. College Park took some of the Oakridge kids this year.

Of course --- been the plan all along -- only thing that would stop them is for CP not to have 5A numbers --- but aint going to happen -- --like I said they have about 1500 now with fresh , soph , and partial jr class. Next year ( UIL re-alignment year ) they will have full fresh , soph , jr , and partial sr class.
Why do you think they would not play each other ????

I agree --- but the fly in the oinment are Tomball & Magnolia ---- right now they are in 17- 5A for a nine team district ---but Cy-Fair will have 8 varsity schools next yr --- so they will probably be a district to themselves --- Tomball & Magnolia border on CISD & KISD schools ---where do they go ????

I think I saw both Killeen and Ellison will be 5A next years, while Waco steps down to 4A
