Him and his counterpart (Chief Zee) I believe were friends and would "fight" in the stands.

RIP, Crazy Ray.

RIP Crazy Ray. You were one of the "best" Cowboys.

Dare I suggest he may deserve a place in the ring of honor? Just a thought....

He was a national symbol of the Cowboys.

If Jerry won't put Drew Pearson in the ring...Ray doesn't have a shot in hell of making it.

I'd settle for a picture in the foyer of the new Jerryland.

Ring of Honor is a bit much- look at what the guys up there did for the team...

Crazy Ray is in the fan's section of the Hall Of Fame. He'll definitely be missed at the games. Hopefully, Jerry will do something to honor him in the new stadium.

I remember Crazy Ray making his first appearance when the Cowboys were still playing in the Cotton Bowl, about 1970 I think.

Verne Lundquist was doing radio play-by-play for the Cowboys back then and I recall him taking note of "some guy who's obviously had too much bird-seed". (Ray's way of getting attention was his loud whistling).

RIP, Ray.

If I remember correctly, he was known as "Whistling Ray" before he was known as "Crazy Ray".

Yeah, ROH is a bit much, I just threw it out for debate. I heard that Jerry and Co. had anticipated Ray's ultimate demise and has already planned for him to have a memorial and/or statue in the new stadium.
