I have been reading in the Lufkin Daily News that Lufkin's rb EJ Shankle and cb Leonard Hewitt agreed to go to the same college to play football together and they are working on lb Mandela Roberts to come with them also. They have offers from top div1a school's all over the country but both Hewitt and Shankle stated they are hoping Miami of Fl sends them one also so they can go there. Yuck!! I am going to hurl if 3 great panthers go to Thug University. I know it is their choice but i sure hate Miami. They can basically go where ever they want!! OU, UT, LSU, A&M etc etc etc

You need to tell them to stay in TEXAS! They would all look good in Burnt Orange! :D

Do you think any one university would use three scholarships on a PACKage deal like that? Those guys would be an asset any where they play but I hope they stay in Texas. Hey, Pack08, how about them going to Iowa?

Watch the "Thug U" comment. Those guys could not have picked a better school to want to play football for I mean 5 National Championships, 36 first round draft picks since 1984 more than any other school and on top of that South Beach. Can't beat it. I know 92' Grad :D

Someone from Texas that does not like one of the Cowboy "Big 3"? Unbelievable!!!

LOL PA, I am already planning on talking to them asap. They will probably blow me off after the Hawks horrible performance last week though. The Hawks will be back i can almost guarantee. I would not be surprised if they get 10 wins for the 4th year in a row and our playing in another major bowl. If they do not go to Iowa i prefer them staying in Texas. :) I do think getting 3 studs in Hewitt, Shankle, and Roberts would be well worth it for any university. Sorry to the Miami grad for calling them thugs but i have always disliked Miami. Nothing personal!! I know they have an unbelievable track record at producing NFL players but they still does not mean they are not thugs. ;) j/k

Has nothing to do with that, it has to do with his ESPN mouth!

Hewitt is going to THE University of Texas...he just doesn't know it yet.
If Mack wants him....they will get him.
If he goes to aggy I swear I will puke...

You might puke then because i know that a&m is one of their top choices for both shankle and hewitt. Why do Lufkin kids go to Texas a&m over Texas every year?? Almost all that went had offers from Texas too. I still think a&m is on the rise. They are starting to be in the top 15 in the nation in recruiting every year.

Not sure who this a and m school is ...
but aggy sucks.
They have been "on the rise" for the last 12 years...
I say they should start cheating again if they want to compete.
Oh...and get rid of Fran.

Fran is a good recruiter but struggles at the coaching part in my opinion. I know yall have heard that about Mack for a long time. He is about to shed that image if he wins some more big games. Especially if he beats OU.

I've always placed the blame on the O-coordinator Greg Davis.
Mack is solid all the way around...in my opinion.
And far as kids choosing aggy over UT...it baffles me every year.
Why on earth would you rather lose than win?
And on top of all that ...you have to be aggy??????
Bold prediction for all of those that say aggy will finish in
the Top 25...

First of all you are setting your goals waaaaaay too low.
You say that as if it is a good thing. Why wouldn't you
shoot for #1...instead of being content with Top 25?

They will win.....4 games this year...I repeat....4 games.

Got news for yeah, wide...unfortunately the aggies will win more than 4 games, this year. You just better hope they don't beat the Burnt Orange...especialy if the burnt Orange beats OU.

Mack Brown has a way with crashing in the big games. And A&M will be a big game!!!!

I pray for the Horns though...they're one of the only teams that will give USC
a good game!

I don't think any of the Lufkin kids have gotten an offer from UT and I think that Texas only has one or two scholarships left in this class. I think that Texas would take Hewitt but not Shankle. Texas needs people in the secondary, but not really at runningback or reciever

Leonard's going to Stillwater this weekend - apparently solo. I'm hearing talk he's possibly now in the top 5 cb's nationwide. I'm thinking they fit better at LSU - but I too want them to stay in Texas - watch out they all may end up at Lubbock - McKinner's a smooth talker, but so is Reggie and JLane.

of course tu needs first to win a conference title before they can presume to shoot for #1, or is that what you meant? this should be their year. i'm going to have a big party when they blow it with a loss to ttech or tamu and don't take it again. here's hoping for tu failure.
