Okay who will be hurting in a couple of years and ready to turn their program over to a new guy? Just read this from the Austin American Statesman:

Ron Schroeder MIGHT be getting back to coaching once his son has graduated from Texas A&M.

It would probably have to be in the Austin area, as I doubt he'd be too excited about moving. His house is in Oak Hill.

Maybe a new school that may open? Is the Lake Travis ISD going to split anytime soon?

We changed coaches about 12 years ago. Jack Welch has come and turn the program a complete 180. In his 12 years I think Cove has more wins then they had the previous 30 years...He's a good one and he'll be around for a while

Do you think Coach Welch has stayed too long and hit a wall. Cove has always had good talent and bad coaching up to the day Coach Welch moved in. He turned the thing around. I just wonder if maybe the program has hit a wall - lack of great playoff success the past few years being a huge example.

Ya the last couple of years there has been a lack in playing good in the playoffs. Last year we were whooped by Cedar Park, Lost to Leander the year before and before that two years in a row to the woodlands all in the early rounds. Our most succesful year was against Midland Lee in the quarters. This year i think we will go deep.

When is Canyon Lake HS opening in the Comal ISD? That might be a good fit. Can you imagine Larry Hill and Ron Schroeder in the same school district, basically competing for the same kids? Probably wouldn't happen, because Hill wouldn't let it.

Colbert's FIRED after this year rather he goes deep in the playoffs or not. :mad:

Many people I know have thought the chance for a State Title from Longview will go down after this year but from the looks of it things are just getting start on the Junior Varsity level atleast.

King is no way going anywhere unless he decides to just leave on his own. 15-1 in less than two seasons so far.
