I know there is another thread about this but it has no poll so I made one.

Seriously, I do not know who is going to win because we have a good advantages at our home game, we rarely lost at Rose Stadium so I am not to sure.

The rank you see on the thread is from Texas Assciotation Poll Football from newspaper (not 5atexasfootball.com). Tyler Lee was #2 before they lost to Colerain.

As much as I hate Trinity, I still think they will win. However its not going to be a blowout like their first two games. Remember, all it takes is a fumble or interception to completely turn a game around.

Should be a tough game. With the game being in Tyler that should give REL a boost. This is their first homegame in three weeks so I'm sure they'll get a boost from that.

Tight game that probably goes into the 4th QT. Probably whoever gets the most turnovers wins.

REL lack of a kicking game concerns me however.

I think Trinity is going to win this somewhat handily considering it's at Rose - I say 21-14 ET.

I pity Lee's D having to turn around and play this Smashmouth team.

Probably longer than 3 games since the last home game with all the play off games last year...

Tyler Lee first game (Hollywood-Chaminade) was at Rose Stadium for the East Texas Classic. I consider that a homegame since its their homefield (Rose Stadium).

I agree that the "underdog" wins, but in a rout. No disrespect to Lee, i just think Trinity is very special this year.

Trinity 38
Lee 21

The biggest mismatch in this one on paper is the Trinity OL vs. Tyler Lee DL. I'm not positive of this number but I believe the biggest player on Lee's DL is 260 pounds. Trinity averages over 300 pounds on the OL so they've got at least 40 pounds per man there. Trinity can pass when they need to so Lee's defense really has its hands full. At the same time, Lee can score points and Trinity's defense is somewhat unproven. They've had their first two games put away by halftime, so it'll be interesting to see what they do if forced to go four quarters. Trinity's running backs are just as good as the Colerain backs Lee had trouble with last week.

This has the look of a potentially high scoring game, and Trinity can send a message if they can perform like they have in the first two games offensively again at Rose Stadium. Meanwhile, Lee wants to get back on track at home. State semi-final rematch...should be fun.

I am having a tough time picking this one?? Lee is a little down from what they were last year because of the inexperience and lack of size on defense. Big running teams like Colerain and Trinity will give this type of defensive unit fits because of their big olineman and great rb's. Colerain proved that last week. If this game was at Trinity then i would have no problem picking Trinity but the game is at Rose right?? Tyler Lee is very very tough there and they are still a very good team. I think it will be high scoring because i think Tyler Lee will score plenty of points with players like J Williams and a qb like P Wilson. I am thinking Trinity 35 Lee 31 but it could easily be the other way around. I still have not decided which way i am going on the pickem?? Tough game but i have to pull for the east texas team even though i might not pick them to win.

pack0808.....

REL's QB is Preston HILL not Wilson....to clarify.

I'm in agreement with you on this one. It has the
makings of a real track meet and could very well
be won with the team that has the ball last.

This game will not be a blow-out though. I disagree
with those posters who seem to think it will be.

While Lee's defense is suspect they play with alot
of heart and won't be quitting.

Heck...Trinity's defense has some issues too.

All in all.... it will be one of the best games in the state....imo.

Where did you get these ranks from? On 5atexasfootball.com Trinity is 7th and Lee is 11th or 12th

Should be a great game... I think Trinity wins, but its going to be a tough game. Lee always plays great at Rose, but that Trinity o is potent and I think Lee's defense might have some problems containing them...
I think 24-14 Trinity over Lee...

Too bad I cant make it to this one, but Garland is calling my name... I have to see my Owls play sometime :), so I guess the Carter game is as good as any...

I have not predictions for this game, seriously. Its going to be close since its our stadium so I am not sure at all. I know most people vote Euless Trinity anyway but if we win than its bad for yall. Either we will be 9-1, 8-2, or 7-3. Thats it right there. Def. not 5-5.

No way REL goes (5-5).. The Trinity game is big because Trinity is good and its the Rose. Trinity , Longview and JT gets some early respect for being obstacles... Plus, you know one of the other district games will be tight and go into the 4th QT.

This game will be a really strong indicator for if REL is a top #10 Texas team.

Game may be a track meet with the over/under for the game about 80 pts.

Just dont know how good Trinity is... but they look very solid so far.

I agree that the game will go into the 70's with points. I think Trinity wins it easily though.

47-28. No defense in Texas :-)

P.S.

Chaminade Madonna took a loss.

Chaminade Madonna took a loss.

Go ask West Monroe,La and Evangel , La if Texas teams play defense ..

Also, looking at the top #25 national teams. Only two had shutouts last week nationally..

Texas.
SLC = 31
Plano East= 0

California.
Clovis West = 7
DLS = 0

Hollywood-Chaminade lost to Booker t. washington. The #1 team in Dade County and one of the top #5 teams in Florida. Even many of the national polls have BTW ranked in the top #25.

Chaminade wont lose another game here in Florida until maybe the State-Semi's or Finals.

Last week Chaminade beat Fort Myers like 55-0. Ouch.

I have been a Trinity season ticket holder since '79 and have seen a lot of strange seasons with the Trojans. This is one of the best teams I can remember. The '82 or '83 squads executed better. (less penalties) This is the best Trinity Offense I can remember. I could care less about the ratings. Just hope they can go one game further than the did last year. The turning point of the game last night was when the Raiders turned the ball over and Trinity scored a couple of plays later. Instead of the game being 22-21 or 22-22 it was quickly 29 - 14. (A 14 point turn around) Tyler Lee has a very good squad and will compete with any team on one anyone's "Top Ten". I hope we see them again in the semi-finals and I assure you it will be a great game.

Just like any game with top #15 Texas teams going agaisnt each other. About (3-4 plays) was the big difference in the game when its all said and done.

Just like the REL vs Colerain game last week. About (3 plays) went Colerain way and not REL way and that was the difference in the 27-12 game.

Whenever you have top teams going at it like that.
