I have watched more outstanding basketball games between the Big 12 teams than I have EVER seen before. This was a great year for Big 12 basketball and it ain't over.

i am VERY surprised Tech was the only bubble team to make the dance from the Big XII. disappointed actually. Stanford ????
A&M must have ticked somebody off. LMAO. what a region. i thought they might be a 2 seed...they will have a tough row to hoe.

90% of these great games involved texas...my list of great games this season are (not in any order):
1. texas vs oklahoma st (both 3 OT and the 4 pt win)
2. texas vs kansas (both big 12 championship and last game of the yr)
3. texas vs a&m
4. texas vs baylor (huge copmeback in big 12 tourney)
5. texas a&m vs oklahoma st
6. kansas vs kansa st (big 12 tourney game kansas st made a run but in the end kansas beat them badly)
thoughts?

Texas got a worse draw. A&M got screwed having to possibly play UL in Kentucky, but if the Ags were to win that, they'd basically have a home game in San Antonio.

Memphis is going to surprise some folks. Ohio St. will be interesting. i don't think aggy matches up well with either of these teams, but playing in San Antonio is a nice trade off.
I will enjoy seeing UT and UNC if they make it.

Memphis surprised me already, going 30-3, albeit they didnt have the strongest of schedules, but dang, thats not bad.

I wonder who KT will root for if the UT vs. UNC match up happens.

This has not been a good year for the Big XII. Not horrible since the top 3 teams have been fun to watch, but there is just nothing after that. This conference is in the middle of a nasty lull among it's major sports.

translation= Texas got beat by a sorry team in a down year.

Pardon? Are you referring to Kansas? jtk wasn't thinking of Texas at all. He was thinking that the committee was right in putting Stanford ahead of K-State and just how sad a thought that is.

I agree with the Stanford thing, as well as Arkansas.
I was simply making light of your assessment of the big XII. I thought the league was highly underrated and extremely competitive. How does a league have 3 Top3 seeds, show neck-and-neck competition between its top 6-7 teams and only get 4 teams in the dance? Either those top 3 teams are overrated, or the midtier teams got screwed. It can't be both ways.
if so inclined, I could easily make a case for the HuggyBears and the TrafficCones, but alas, it has already been declared that the league sucks.
All I am saying is, if the Big XII was on the upper east coast, the media would be singing its praises for being so competitive. I hope all 4 teams do well, just to build some cred for what I feel is one of the best conferences top to bottom in the country.

Bingo. Good records are not as hard when they are bing built at the expense of Mizzou, Nebraska, Mobilhoma, Colorado, etc. The top 3 teams in the Big XII this year would be nowhere near the top 3 of the ACC.

Just as Farmerfan said Tech wouldn't make the dance, we will see about the Big XII teams.
I will honestly say, seeing the word TEXAS on your team's bracket has to leave a lump in your throat, no matter who you are.
The beauty of the Big dance VS Football is that we get to see it played out, so all of our speculative opinions will either be genius or drivel by the results of the next 3 weekends.
