Batman Begins. End of list.
Just watched it again. jtk loves that movie and not just because Joey... er... Katie Holmes spent a good part of the movie wearing tight blouses in obviously cold weather. ;) Seriously, Christopher Nolan does not get near the respect he deserves based on his limited, but outstanding body of work. Memento and Batman Begins are two of the best movies from the last 10 years.
On a related note, production is under way for The Dark Knight... the sequel to Batman Begins. Good news is that Nolan is returning as writer and director and most of the cast including Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine return. The bad news is that Joey... er.. Katie Homes does not. This does not sit well with jtk. Aaron Eckhart is set to play Harvey Dent/Two Face (good choice) with Heath Ledger set to play The Joker (jtk is worried about this casting move). Jack Nicholson's portrayal of The Joker in the original Batman is maybe the best portrayal of a comic book villain in cinematic history. Ledger better not screw this up.
Release date is Summer of '08 but jtk is already popping his popcorn.
