I'll throw a few out there.

Yankees - Red Sox
tOSU - Michigan
Duke -UNC
Boston Bruins - Montreal Canadienes
USC - Notre Dame

Thoughts and opinions on what you think is the one that stands out? Doesn't have to be listed above.

In fact, throw High School Rivalries in if you wish.

High school
Windthorst and Archer City- 11 miles and 2 different worlds seperate these 2 bergs.
Rider and Old High(WFHS, if ya didn't know)- will always be my favorite because i lived it. Still some of my best high school memories come from those weeks and football games.

College Football
Texas/ OU- the one game of the year that I definately cheer for OU
Texas/ A&M- I wish they could still tie...
Alabama/ Auburn- I believe this is the nastiest of the nasty, which makes it incredibly delicious!

Pro Football
Cowboys/ Redskins- the Cowboys 1-15 year, and you can guess who that only win came against...
It seems like the owners/ coaches have always fed the frenzy, whether it was George Allen and Landry going at it, or today's power brokers Jerry vs. Mr Snyder, they have contributed to the lore of this rivalry.

Raiders/ Denver/ KC/ San Diego- Is it just me, or are these teams always fun to watch in their divisional games. I will watch their games on any non-cowboy afternoon...

NASCAR
Dale Earnhardt SR vs The Field- I never really was a fan of ole Dale, but I enjoyed watching someone so driven to succeed. He was as cut-throat as they come on the track, and a true hero off of it.

Pro Baseball- Yankees/ Redsox, I don't really follow either team, but I love watching them play each other, especially in the playoffs. Too many player changes have happened over the years to list, but the Babe, johnny Damon, and Clemens have all added to the hate and legends between these 2 historic franchises.

Cardinals/ Astros- doesn't have the hatred or even the history, but competitively, it has the makings of something to standout in the years to come simply off of what is at stake when these 2 teams match up.

mcEnroe/ Borg/ Conners- am I the only one who wishes we could have tennis like these guys played it again?

Hagler/ Hearns/ Leonard( and also Ali/ Frazier/ Foreman) i wish boxing could get even back to the same solar system they used to be in. I loved watching these guys fight. You might get a Tyson or DeLaJoya that is enigmatic, but i didn't realize when I was 8-10 years old and watching ABC Boxing on saturday afternoons, that i was witnessing the peak of the sport. I want it back...

Easy thing to do when daddy to the south takes care of your physical security and keeps your economy humming. Canada would be nothing more than a few oil rigs and fishing ports without us

If you are referring to nationalized healthcare, it's not a perfect system. Many many Canadians go south of their border for medical reasons because the Healthcare in Socialist Countries like Canada and Australia is inadequate.

Welfare nations like the 2 mentioned above and several countries in Europe, is only generally advantageous for people who are too lazy to work hard to obtain the finer things. What they do is over-tax the ones who bust their behinds to get ahead so they can pay for the others to sit around.

Nationalized healthcare is great when you have a cold or the flu. Really, it's awesome. Even in Russia, I felt perfectly fine with the standard of care I was getting for minor irritants.

But when something REALLY goes wrong is when you truck it back to the USA. It's no coincidence that the USA develops all the technology and techniques the rest of the world uses. It's expensive to develop new drugs and technology, and no one does it unless they can get a return on it.

Something people need to understand is the innovatory power of the US. That is where our strength lies-- not in making things cheap, or in growing things better, but in making new, awesome things. In coming up with new ways to do stuff. That is what drives the American economy, and socialism is basically a big lethal injection for innovation.

Innovation is born out of the entrepreunrial spirit and of the willingness to take risks to get a big gain. Socialism kills that.

Harlingen-- San Benito this year is going to be a bloodbath.

Harlingen is coming off of a rebuilding year, and a solid district and playoff performance. San Benito is going to have to fill up ALOT of key positions, and get someone to take leadership of the team.
*also S.B. will be coming off of a spanking by the hands of Calallen IN Cal.......

im a huge red wings fan so of course im going to say the red wings - avs rivalry.

a real good hockey one i dont think anyone mentioned but it should be there is the senators and sabres, this has the makings of an epic one, as long as ray "bad-mutha-shut-yo-mouth" emery is still in the net.

avs are recently but isnt it true that most in rock city consider the blackhawks more of a rivalry than anyone else?
I mean those two teams make up 33% of the "original six"

Avs--Wings is a little bit nastier.

If you substitute A&M for Red Wings, its like this:

Wings--Hawks= A&M--Texas. Not in the way the series is tilted, but in the more gentlemanly "tone" of the rivalry.

Wings--Avs= A&M--Tech. Just bad blood and no respect between the two.

i honestly have no idea, i mean there is history there, but after the claude lemuiex (horrible spelling) incident, i think every wings fan gave colorado a "move to the front of the line" card

I liked the video. I guess I just like UT vs a&m and Texas High School football rivalries more. Like Permian Vs Lee etc. I list a whole bunch of them. I guess they mean more to us in Texas than lets say Yanks Vs Red Socks. I would still talk to you after a yanks red socks debate. We might be fist fighting if we talked about UT a&m or your two favorite high school programs that were rivalries. Because of pride.
