Colleyville Heritage are looking pretty good this year so far and could provide more competition for the second and third playoff spots. I am still not completely sold on Ryan even though they have bounced back pretty good from that Highland Park wooping. The second and third spots are wide open right now, but I don't see Carroll relinquishing the top spot

SLC, will win the district, enough said...The only reason i like Keller Indians is because of the whole, battle cry song thingy...Collyville has the best shot at the second spot, followed by Denton Ryan or Fossil Ridge

I've said this all along, apart from SLC each team in the district is benefitting from a weak district this year. Whoever decides to show up for 2nd and 3rd will get the spots. But still there is never a good enough excuse for losing to Weatherford because they really aren't good. And no you guys won't beat SLC but Denton Ryan has showed that it is once again its usual over rated self and if the district were stronger they would not go 6-1 this year but since its so weak maybe they will again.

Is there any talk in Keller about building a new stadium? That stadium, especially the visitors side, is one of the worst. I'm guessing they will not build a new one since they installed a new playing surface recently. However, with three high schools you gotta think they could affort it. Anyone know?

Denton Ryan over rated? They only lost to one team last year and that was the eventual state champion. They beat quality teams all year and in the playoffs. Before that they had been to 4 straight 4A title games winning back to back championships. I would definitely not call them over rated.

Keller is not very good this year.
Carroll is Tier 1
Heritage and Denton Ryan are Tier 2
Haltom-Ridge is Tier 3
Keller-Richland is Tier 4
Any of the teams in the lower tier could upset a team in a tier ahead of them.

The only good team they beat last year was Irving MacArthur, and they caught a huge break that game. Each time they played SLC its like they didn't even show up to play, just like every other team SLC faced apart from Lufkin and SV.

I think considering, she could neither see nor hear...she made a pretty good life for herself. And all those jokes were just tacky. Well except the one about answering the iron...that one was funny.

One thing is for sure boys....After SLC there are no guarantees in this district....A three loss team could be playing in mid november.....

How is Fred Ellis doing at Keller?
He used to go to school over in Southlake and I heard that he was playing pretty good.

The blue track makes me laugh. The visitors side is annoying. Not only is it about 50 yards away from the sideline, it is also about 20 feet in the air, like you are watching the game from afar. The stands don't rise very well as the bleachers are rather flat, making it tough to see over the heads of people infront of you.

To the original post I would like to say that each team behind SLC has a decent shot.....That being said SLC is not a strong in the running game and could get upset once or twice.....I don't know what's up with Renfro and without him they are still very scary but that kid's on another level......
Heritage to me has established themselves as the 2nd place team....Seeing how they finish up non district vs. a very athletic Martin team well tell a lot....That defense they have over there is pretty dang salty....
Third place is anybody's guess????? It'll be exciting to see it played out...Even though some of the perennial powers are not as good this year, the teams that generally finish at the bottom are a ton better....5 -5A is not a weak district, the teams are just more evenly matched than in the past....
