It was the Cy Fair Bobcats and they are almost all back next year so they should take it in 2008!

For the person who asked where Cy Fair is, the area is in the general vicinity of the Hwy 290 and Hwy 6 area. It runs from Clay to 249 going N & S and from about Gessner to Hockley, TX going E & W. If you are asking where the actual school is, it is on Hwy 290 and Telge - about 3 football fields (300 yds) from Cy Falls - hence the intense rivalry.

Yes, congratulations to Rockwall. I had my friend calling me updating the score. I got the news that we had lost, in overtime. Still a very good season for the Bobcats. I think the game showed how good, and evenly matched, both teams were.

40-0?? Has that ever happened before? That is utter domination! Congrats to those girls. I was watching part of the replay tonight at like 3:30 AM on FSN, and not to knock girls sports in any way, but it seems so much less organized than any other sport I've seen. Maybe I just wasn't watching close enough, but MANY times, it looked like the girls were just randomly running around, like having 3 people put pressure on one point guard dribbling down the court (leaving like a 4 on 2 situation). Is that just me that thinks that?

The announcers said that the last time it happened was 1999. As far as the triple team question goes..From what I've seen, girls cannot throw as hard as boys, so there's plenty of time for the D to recover if the point guard manages to get a pass off.

They'll be back again next year. They only had one serior in the bunch.

I missed the game....but stayed up to like 4:30 am to watch the replay on FSN. Great game....two 39-0 teams...what more can you ask for. Cy-Fair losing one player and one of the best players on the team is a 14 year old FRESHMAN....I'm gonna go with Cy-Falls mom right now and make a bold prediction...CAKEWALK for the Lady Bobcats next year.
