Does it look as if The Longhorns will just destroy OU this year. I just cant See OU comeing close to winning this one. I dont even see Peterson walking after this game. Texas has the best front seven in the Nation, and OU Offensive line is among one of the worst in the Big 12. Texas can just load the box up cause Bomar, and Thompson look horrible throwing the football.

Before this is moved i want to say this to all my fellow longhorn fans.
Please stop talking crap to OU fans. The last thing we need is for Mack Brown and Greg David to piss their pants in Dallas AGAIN. Think about if OU came into this game with two losses (to TCU and UCLA) and we still couldnt get it done because Stoops out coaches Mack and Adrian Peterson runs wild and OU attempts zero passes in the 2nd half. You guys just dont understand, a loss this year would be the worse loss to take in the history of the Red River Shootout, because it looks way to winnable this year. I'm not falling into the trap. I'm not going to be eating crow after this game, i'll believe it when i see the zeros on the score board and we have 1+ more points than them. I feel like we could crush anybody else in the country minus USC and OU does still have the mental edge over UT.

I was listening to Dan Patrick on the ride back from Lufkin today...
and he said 2 practices. I've never understood that...Why make the
team suffer?...make him pull double practices as punishment.

If UO walks on the field at the Cotton Bowl. They have a chance. Texas vs UO is a bigtime game that one team could be (0-4) and the other (4-0) and you throw the records out for that game.

Texas will return the favor for OU running up the score the past few years whenever they could. OU will not be able to move the ball because UT's D is simply too stout (held Ohio State to 255 yds, Ginn to 7). I don't think we will necessarily cut through them with our offense, but the fact that OU will be 3 and out on every other series should put us up around 45-50 points. I do think OU can score a TD and moreover, I think UCLA will beat OU this weekend, and they will be unranked for the Red River Shootout. UT smells blood, and God I just hope they aren't capable of choking that bad!

if any team/coach is capable of pulling off such a choke job, it'd be the mack-led horns. even i am doubting that stoops has that many tricks up his sleeves.

Wait wait wait, Big Mack isn't the problem, the problem is he lets his drinking buddy Greg Davis act as offensive coordinator. Mack is basically a recruiter who inspires his players, hes good at that... The last 2 yrs Texas hasn't had a Defensive malfunction, and only 1 offensive malfunction, however OU had them overmatched in that game...

When everybody speaks of this "choke" job...did they actually watch the game last year. It was 6-0 halfway through the 4th quarter.
Texas had several opportunities....and like Prophet stated....Greg Davis was calling 3-5 yard dump passes...when it was 3rd and freakin' 16...huh?
That was the problem...not Mack.

Sorry if Texas was going to choke then it would have been against Ohio St. OU is in Big trouble no matter how bad Mac is that defense will refuse to loose.
We want USC

Agreed...
But I dont count UO out... the game is still a few weeks off, and who knows? UO might have their qb situation fixed by then... not to mention they still have AD... I think UT wins, but not by a blowout.... If UT wins by more than 2 or 3 td's, i would be shocked...
I would love to win by 50 pts, but I dont think that happens with Davis calling the plays....

Peterson is out for UCLA. He had to do a little more than skipping class to recieve this. OU does not stand a chance against UCLA.
I see OU loses to... A&M, TECH, TEXAS, NEBRASKA,UCLA.
5-6 season for the sooners, man that sounds good to say.

Wide, I think DD was eluding to a choke job this year. If OU were to somehow win a 6th straight over Texas it would be a pure choke job on part of Macky Mack and the horns. OU has been the better team the last 5 years, I think for the 1st time this decade Texas can say they have the better team and its not even close, the toughest game left for the horns this year is going to be at home against Tech. I think that is the only one left between them and a BCS title game spot. From what I have seen thie year, I think Texas will walk out of the Cotton Bowl with a decisive victory

Did you see the way the A&M defense looked against Clemson? Carl Torbush has made no improvements in the fundamentals of that defense at all. They might be the worst tackling defense in college football. Also this is the one defense where Greg Davis famou 3 and out routes will work, only A&M can make those routes turn into big gains. Its a long way from now to November, but I am no believer in the A&M defense and when you have the weapons that Texas does on offense, it has the chance to get ugly.
I think Texas toughest game left is against Tech. This Tech offense might be there best ever, I know the stats they put up were against FIU, however it seems as if they are already in midseason form. Recent Tech teams have struggled to teams they should have blown out, ie SMU and New Mexico. I think the Raiders have the potential to upset Texas and win the south this year, outside of going to Austin, the schedule is in Tech's favor.

I never said Tech would beat them, however last time Tech came to Austin, they should have won. They seem to be the only team in the Big12 other than K-State to play well in Austin. This is going to be the best Tech offense ever, last week they completed passes to 11 different receivers and they have a very good RB in Taurean Henderson who does not get enough credit for the job he does. They have two big physical recievers in Robert Johnson and Jarrett Hicks, had to that Danny Amandola a Wes Welker type player and Tech will be explosive once again. The thing that QB Cody Hodges has taht the other QB's did not is speed, he is no Vince when running the ball, but he does add a deminson to that offense that Mike Leach has never had before. Once again, I am not saying Tech is going to beat Texas, but if they did it would not shock me. I have a crazy feeling that the Tech/Texas game will be the best game of the year in the BIG12.

yeah dude the way the aggy tackles, they could put in colt mccoy and it wouldnt matter, just to save vince for the big 12 ship and rose bowl, i agree though tech is really the only team left with potential to upset texas, but hey each week brings challenges of its own, you really can't even look past rice...
