Trying to keep up with the SLC's?

They must be having a little pre season performance anxiety. Since they went down in flames last year and they really did have a good team, I chalk it up to just trying the gets the nerves out of their system...

At least Judson is waiting till the season gets a bit closer before starting back in on the boards.

I think the KT's need to start a Countdown clock to one of the preseason main events.

Cheers,

As long as people aren't including negative dentist comments about Lufkin, I'm otah with as many Lufkin threads as folks want to post. It makes me feel slightly better about getting Round Rocked this past playoff year since the mighty Lufkin got roundrocked as well. ;)

Lets not and say we did...

Plus it would probably be a tie between the 26-5a and SLC folks.

here are some common themes that like to revist the board during the season.

SLC THE BEST?

26-5a THE BEST.

No one is better then the 26-5a.

Who has the toughest district? 26-5a.

How did you know?:D You know the truth is..I've been a fan of the Dragons for almost 15 years. 2 of my kids graduated from Carroll, and I have a freshman going through now...when I see a Carroll thread, I post. Wouldn't you? But I also see where the attention Carroll gets would be annoying....When this bubble gets burst at some point, the nature of the threads will turn to analysis of why Carroll got beat, who, how and when....

At the end of the day people want to talk about what is in the news and what is current. SLC have remained in the news by the fact of playing in 16 games in each of the last 5 seasons. Roll in the 4 state championship and you have a lot of newsworthy topics to be debated. That may be why we do not have 100's threads about an El Paso school or Brownsville school. In less than one year we have gone from no threads about Cedar Hill to lots of threads about Cedar Hill.

Number of threads in direct proportion to where posters are from - and how school has done over the past 5 or so years. We had zero Plano Wildcat threads until Oct. '05 - the reason is obvious - they threw a doughnut in '04.

Hey guys I'm new to the house but i've been a reader for awhile and I had totell you this... I am a senior at carroll and just finished football. One day I had to tell coach dodge that I could'nt make a practice... I went into his office and went around the desk to tell him and I am really sure that I saw this forum. We all think he gets on here and talks trash for us. it was pretty funny.

I call BS.
If Coach Dodge ever logged on to this site his absolute omnipotence and greatness would cause the site to crash.
Wait a minute...maybe that's why the board keeps crashing:eek:

Lufkin will be young next season but will have a few players with experience. But I think there is a pattern.

2002 (Young) 12-3 Lost in Semi to SLC 33-30 botched a 16 pt 4th qtr lead
2003 (6 D1 players) 9-2 One and Done Club but we didi beat the Champs that year in Katy 35-14
2004 (Young) 14-1 Another Semi SLC exit 37-30 Damn Dragons
2005 (Young) 14-1 I dont even wana say
2006 (15 starters return) 11-1 I will not say
2007 (Young) ?

I like it when Lufkin has a young team. It looks like we are headed for another Semi exit with SLC. but who knows.

They had 7div1a players that year. But you are right there seems to be a pattern! LP seems to do better without the ridiculous expectations like in 03 and 06. I think they had less egos in those other years and were forced to paly as a team more. I hope the same pattern continues next season and I would not be surprised if it does.

You gotta have more faith in the PACK than that...all these guys have to do is put all egos and individualism to the side (if this is actually an issue) and play TOGETHER, and it's a wrap.

Check back with me when we have 3 threads dedicated to Jeremy Claybon puking.

I don't believe Jeremy ever played in a State Championship game and threw the game winning TD while puking. No shot on Jeremy. Great athlete. However, what RD accomplished in the face of adversity is amazing and worthy of posting.
