COACH jordan was my coach in Lufkin for 3 years it is hard to think that he would do this. that man is better than that and i think that the midland lee is just mad because of how there season is going.

GOOD LUCK COACH JORDAN

I've met Coach Jordan a few times and he always seemed like a very level headed coach. You're right there is always two sides to every story.

I find it very hard to believe that a Coach would "Body slam" a kid. I could see a coach running up and breaking up some contact between two kids and giving either one a little "shove" to back off.

You know how that goes. That little "little shove" turns into "Body slam" and "thown into the stands" and ect. When it was a little "GET BACK" shove.

PS. If a Coach "Body slammed" a kid the whole stands would also easily see that without question.

I like how this kid's parents think he deserves an apology. If he wouldn't have got in a scuffle in the first place then he wouldn't have to worry about anyone "body slamming" him, he should learn how to be a gentlemen on the field.

This is nothing.

Last season in our first scrimmage vs. Grapevine, we got in two fights. The first one was no big deal as the referees broke it up. But the second one was worse. One of the Grapevine players jumped our player from behind and a huge fight broke out, causing our huge inside linebackers coach(who by the way, used to play in the NFL) to start picking off Grapevine Mustangs running from their sideline to the fight area left and right by cocking and throwing his hands back and forth(like he was bench pressing the players). He sent at least 5 or 6 players flying because our players underneath the pile were getting beat pretty bad and one of our coaches who used to coach at Grapevine was also body slammed by a Grapevine player. Our inside linebackers coach still says that is the highlight of his coaching career.

It's hard to imagine the words "gentle" and "man" being in the same sentence with "football"! The emotions are pumping through the roof, your coaches are pleading with you to show as much aggression as possible, everything is happening at a quickened pace....it's hectic! Being a gentlemen is the farthest thing from these young mens' minds on a football field. Un-Disciplined is more like it!

And the coach obviously didn't have any intent on slamming anyone! The ref's just had to follow procedure and cover their butts. Makes sense.

The coach will make a formal apology and football life will go on!!

Yes, then don't be asking for an apology for being slammed, it is football, all the emotion.

Ok?!! A formal apology is something that will occur off the field. What happened during the game was, obviously, on the field of play....in the heat of the game!!

This is funny. I was there to see this while I was waiting for the Carter/Trinity/Midland scrimmage. Wasn't grapvine frustrated because Bell was getting the better of them in the scrimmage??

Yea, we had scored about 5 touchdowns and they had not gained a 1st down. The first brawl was nothing really, just our linebacker and their receivers getting into it which our linebacker whipped them pretty badly and was thrown out of the game.

Then their #84 reciever(Brad Fawcett, senior this year) was annahlated in the air by our corner, #2, returning all district 2 year letterman who was a senior last year and eventually quit the team in the 2nd week of the season because of an argument with the coaches. Anyway, #2 gave the ball back to #84 and said "Here's your ball back" and #84 threw it back at #2 and it hit him right in the back of the neck and everyone knows that hurts. Now #2 is the ultimate streetwise gangster type, so he fought back and it created brawl #2.

Then the kid should apologize for acting out of place on the field AFTER THE PLAY. There is no reason to attack or start any fighting on the field of play. The kid probably had it coming.

Hahaha, very nice touch...

This is stupid. I think Coach Jordan prob did what any coach would have done. I know my coach would go for the opposing team before his own in a fight like this...That reminds me when one of our players threw a punch at a Trinity player (i have a picture of it somewhere)...It just really POs me that a coach would get introuble for defending his team...

IMO, coach Jordan was trying squash any further altercations. Refs were CYAing. If the referees saw the incident, then they should be part of the investigation.
