Battle of the Vikings: Irving Nimitz vs. Arlington Lamar

This game intrigues me very much. We have a team that doesn't have much expected from them, with a great running back by the name of David Watkins, and have beaten a pair of lower tier teams impressively. Then we have Arlington Lamar which we don't know much about because they seem to have graduated everybody, and have looked absolutely pathetic in their first two games against high tier teams. Both teams would like to make a statement. Nimitz wants to be taken for real heading into South Grand Prairie. Lamar needs a win badly to build confidence entering district play. This match is a toss up(and unfortunatley, thrown into the Pick'em pool). I chose Nimitz because I think that Lamar will take them rather lightly because of the beatings they have given Nimtiz the past 4 seasons and David Watkins is not to be fooled with. Nimitz has much more to prove because they are entering a much tougher district.

I think Lamar will win this one pretty big, but I want Nimitz to win, because I dont like Lamar...being from coppell...most of us dont like Lamar....Nimitz is a good team, we played them last years homecoming and won that game in a very close 1point victory

David Watkins is ridiculous. I honestly would not be suprised if he went for over 300 yds. It would be very hard to see a team like Lamar beating Watkins and Nimitz. This kid is for real.

There is no way Lamar wins this game. I have been saying since the year started that Lamar was down this year.

Last year our season was over when we played Nimitz in week 9, it was Senior Night and our last home game. We came in thinking we were going to roll over them like the year before. Our backup QB was starting because Joe was hurt. Anyway we scored on a hail mary on 4th and 22 for our first touchdown but after that it was all David Watkins, we fell behind 21-7 at half and no one seemed to care anymore and gave up as we ended up getting murdered. It was a disgrace.
