There's a shortage on 2XL t-shirts right now because Spurs playoff fever is in full-force! Not only should D1 schools be scouting the boys, but they could get some good linewomen, too! :p

Looks like the first two scrimmages and first two games are the toughest part of the schedule. It gets tough again at the Woodlands game. If Katy doesn't have a game on October 15 I'll be at Klein's stadium to watch the 'Pack'.
How did ya'll get the 'Pack' nickname. I never hear ya'll being refered to as the Panthers.

Im not sure if anyone remembers! It goes back at least 70 years. Doesnt really make sense as Panthers do not travel in packs. All you hear and see on the signs of businesses as you grow up in Lufkin is "We Back the Pack" My mother graduated in '47 and it was already old by then! Dont think the school used it in any official literature or the uniforms until the '90's.

True, in the real world Panthers are solitary animals in the wild, but we are not talking about reality here. Teams of all sports do this all the time.

Lufkin uses the name PACK as a sign of unity. We have about 70 players that make up the team, if each one is a Panther, then 70 Panthers together is a PACK.

No different than the Tyler John Tyler Lions calling themselves "CUJO", which is a mad dog, not a Lion.

We have been the PACK longer than most teams have been in existence, we are an ORIGINAL and I am proud of that.
