The Baylor University Board of Regents at its February meeting today approved plans to construct the Alwin O. and Dorothy Highers Athletics and Academic Complex and the Simpson Athletics and Academic Center, a $34 million complex that will integrate the Baylor athletics department and football program into the campus environment for the first time in the modern era.

Looks nice. Baylor does have some nice facilities. The ballpark is stunning. I think only Nebraska may have a nicer ballpark in all of college baseball (though Penn State's new stadium looks awesome). Baylor has also done a lot to spruce up Floyd Casey.

I believe within the next 10 years Floyd Casey will be torn down and a new stadium rebuilt in its place.
But then again, I also think Baylor will win a Big 12 Championship within 10 years....

Yeah... in baseball.
I would like to see them tear down Floyd Casey and build a smaller, on campus stadium that looks like the ball park. That would be sweet.

The only problem I have with Floyd Casey is that it's in the ghetto. South Waco....AKA Little Mexico.

Don't ever go to Jones Stadium or Dan Law Field, because Tech is right there by the " Barrio del Norte" in Lubbock...:D
That doesn't bother me at all.

for such a nice ballpark, you think they'd take better care of the turf...it always looked awful when i went to games there

I was a little spoiled though...Texas Lutheran was always voted best playing surface by Texas Turf Association. Our pitching coach was the groundskeeper, and I think he took more pride in the grass than his pitching staff :)
