anybody know if uil has a rule on games called for weather (lightning)? does the game count at a certain point?
ex. San Antonio John Jay has had a bye week, Tivy game called at 1 and a half qtrs, and last nights game called at half...are they OFFICIALLY 0-0?
thats tough going into week 4 having played 3 1/2 qtrs of ball.

...and winless.
Someone that attends San Antonio Reagan and is a fan of the Washington Redskins would certainly know about being winless in football. :) Yes I know Reagan wins in just about everything else but they suck in football. My middle brother and his wife's kids are Rattlers from Reagan and they have told me how awful the football is there. Both my nephew (who graduated) and my niece (who is still there) were/are band members. As you may know, the Reagan band is among the best in the state and a treat to watch. They alone would make it worth watching Reagan football. Now you guys have won a couple of games this year I believe. So maybe this is your year to have a winning record. But when you guys start playing McArthur, Madison, SV, and Judson, the losses are going to start piling up IMHO.
BTW, great win by your Redskins yesterday. Did they score all their 9 points in one quarter or did they spread them out over the whole game. :p Just had to razz you there kid. ;) I actually like Gibbs but despise the 'Skins.

Most games will have a 90min Rain delay rule...in district games, games will be played the next day (if the game is on a friday night), and in the case of last year...Irving vs. LD Bell, the game was moved to a natural site after the game was postponed till the next day...Coppell played Irving Mac that night in the rain with about 2.5hrs of rain delays all at diffrent times

I wanted to play in the thunder and lighting...i think its part of football, it adds a new prospect....
We did play in the rain against LD Bell, I remember that they didnt call the game even though there was thunder

Garland has had three games since '98 where games were stopped because of lightning and then restarted the next day. In each one, the game completely turned around following the restart. From what I've seen, that is how it usually works - if a team was down and out before the delay, they come back and stage a furious comeback the next day...

That Naaman game was terrible! Ive never had to deal with that much rain while trying to film the game... Thank god they put the new pressbox in with a different filming spot.. no more metal platform sticking out of the side with no cover!

thats why our coach was trying to post-pone the the Irving Mac/Coppell game last year, it was only 21-0 at half time...
Coppell went on to get there butt kicked 45-0

Lets see, Reagan is going into it's 6th year, a coaching change, and a new team. And all you Reagan hateres just seem to disappear when football season ends...I wonder why
And yes, all 9 points were spread over the entire game. We'll see how mr. Bledsoe fairs next week.

And good job for going off topic.
As for the weather. Games need to go to halftime by the time they end I believe...why does it always rain on Friday or Saturday?! I was at a scrimmage before football season started...it was cancelled about midway cause of lightning. And Jay hasn't even played a full game because of lightning.
