I can think of a few stadiums in the San Antonio area that need some improvements.

I can't imagine what work would need to be done at Dick Bivins. It is already a really nice facility after being upgraded a few years ago.
Maybe you are thinking about Lowrey Field in Lubbock? It is receiving a complete overhaul right now.

Cool. A post from a Amarillo Tascosa Rebel fan....from seven years ago. Out of sheer curiosity, why was this particular post dug up?
Dick Bivins Stadium did get renovated around 2004 or so. Very nice venue for high school football.

Unless a change comes about, we'll play at Sam Houston's Wilemon Stadium

It's turf.....not a bad stadium at all but the parking and locale aren't that great to me.

It's finally happening! Lake Travis is getting artificial turf for their football field among other athletic facilities upgrades! We are also getting a new press box and score board. Of course, it would be great to demolish our stadium and just build a brand new (and bigger) one, but this is a start!

7,000 is small for any 5A school especially for a program with the community support like Lake Travis. The parking also looks like it is a nightmare on Friday nights.

Yes, it's a small stadium. The sooner we get a new stadium the better. However, this won't happen for a long while since we just passed a new bond (that didn't include a new stadium.) The positive about our stadium though is the environment - surroundings, view, etc. Also, I can't remember where I read this, but a parking garage might be built sometime in the future to help accomodate the parking.

Great to hear. But as long as UT lets LT and WL play the Lake Bowl at DK Royal Stadium, there will never be an incentive for LT to expand their stadium. I can't imagine any other game would draw a big visitor crowd except maybe Bowie.

Look what the out of town team is doing for their neighbor.
Got to love those loving, giving folks over at Steele taken care of such a historic facility, I'll bet with out their help little old Clemens probably wouldn't be able to make all these improvements.:p
Have a great day RWH
From those people from another town who have a big school who play their ball in your little stadium. Your welcome:eek:

Boggus Stadium in Harlingen is getting a lift up. The capacity is at 15,000 right now they are trying to get it to 18,000. They are in the process of installing new turf. Remodeling the away side stands. Adding a new track . and making more ticket booths. http://www.texasbob.com/stadium/stadium.php?id=928
