Yep, don't think Falls is finished just yet:) . Congrats #1 - that is awesome for your son and family!! I am so proud of those kids - I just can't imagine what you all must be feeling. It was something to see all those tables up on the stage last night.

Schools like NS, Humble, Ike, and WF are aloud years like that....Sometimes you have the talent, but not the dedicationt to go the extra mile to get the D1 scholie

Lufkin will eventually sign 14 with 3 being div1a. Actually down year for Lufkin going by div1a signees. But still not bad at all.

Wow on Cedar Hill! 11 div1a's  That is the most I have seen since lamarque in 03 and just topped SLC's 10 div1a's from last year.

Amazing how much winning gets the attention of recruiters huh? I bet this is more recruits in 1 year that cedar hill has had in their short history combined am I wrong? Your team is on the map now.

actually the recruiters were there before the winning started. coach McGuire does an excellent job getting coaches to stop by.

are you using "short" as in the time they've been 5a? they are not new to hs football, just relatively new to 5a.

Yeah but winning does not hurt and it usually always helps.

When it is all said and done, JT will have around 12 or 13. Some kids are still trying to research their options.

It was a very dry year north of the ship channel. We are in a down slump and may be for the next couple of years. Talent in the middle schools but still a couple of years away.

FB Marshall signed 16 with Tony Cavness Reciever waiting to take a track scholarship, 7 D1 and tall WR Timothy Chandler waiting on a baseball deal... he may go to the minors or strong D-1 school for baseball... Greg Lawson WR also looking to go baseball for a better deal...

Ok i'm tried of talking about it and one guy already made reference to it; when i said of all time i meant of all time in the state and cedar hill. I bet you can not name five teams from this year or from the past five years that have had more d-1 kids on one team. So like i said one of the most talented teams of all-time!

So you say we were just lead by one guy on offense that carried an average team to a state championship right? Well my friend from west texas ask amarillo about that and see what they say about the 2006 longhorns. We had william "unforgettable" cole, but we also had corey roney, desmond briscoe, james hamilton, romie blaylock, john jones, quintin haynes, thomas ashcraft, and that was just on offense!! Yes all these kids at some point will play college football for free. you do the math; but before you do add in the defense of chris francis, tory tyner, anthony blue, dewayne ikner, cameron lair, cameron thompson, wayne thompson, josh thomas, marvin charles, dustin maddox, all of which will play college football at some point in ther careers. Now do the math; william cole ("A.K.A. Nate King Cole") was our best player, however make no mistake about it we were no where near at a loss of talent if he does not play. We are just that much better with him playing.

Look it it up; the facts have been stated and now it is time for 2007-2008 to shine and they will. Colleyville 8/31 at panther stadium. We are getting ready. I hope you guys are working beause we are. ;)

Wow it is amazing how some bad to mediocre football programs sign that many? Can you list them? That has to be a little embarrassing to the coaches if true? I remember Ike signing a ton last year and they were one of the worst 5a football teams Lufkin played in the last several years.

Westlake signed 4 with 3 going d1a, though Nader only played in the first 3 games. I guess Westlake isn't really known for their talent, but more for their teamwork.

Now you're talkin! That team was stacked! It was a tremendous victory for Garland when they ended South's season that year. That SGP team was fun to watch. Great receivers, Could run the ball, Speed on defense, Big guys up front......Lots of big time guys.

I agree somewhat, but their OL, DL & LB's were amazing! Best gathering of talent I have ever seen, including us and Westfield!

I finally found a copy of Thursday's DMN there were 17 player's off of Madison's team that signed Wednesday, the roster on DMN shows 20 seniors on the roster. that is Amazing! 11 player's signed with Arkansas Baptist, 5 signed with Langston, and Shawnbrey McNeal signed with Miami.
A couple of months ago the DMN ran an article on The Coach at Madison and the job he is trying to do with the little support that he has. I would say that he has ACCOMPLISHED a lot. Job Well Done!

.... First round last year, second round this year, Varsity FB program is only 3 years old... is that what people call bad/poor??? i'm not sure, someone let me know.... besides the point, if i were a parent, i would rather have my child going to college free, playing the sport that he loves, rather than win a state championship.... or get close to it... cause in the end, its all about getting a college education right? wrong? i don't know womeone tell me... ... and "that" embarrasing our coaches? they're just getting their kids to the next level so on game days or after game days they can pull down the big screen in the fieldhouse and flip coins to see which athlete will they watch on espn today.... hmmm... i think that would embarrass the so-called "power-house coaches" a tad bit more than ours... lol..... :D and we're just getting started....

Winning a State Championship = a great achievement
15+ athletes to college per year, over 30 scholarships in first 2 yrs = Priceless :p

no one ever likes the new kids...
