I got and installed Vista today. Vista Business. Has anyone installed it yet? What are your thoughts? Any cool software for it yet?

I've got Vista Business on the new laptop I bought on Sunday. It works OK, but I take all Windows applications with a grain of salt. I use whatever is on the computer, but I don't ever go crazy about the new features.

You guys should see this laptop. It's a HP 9260 Entertainment Laptop. I can hook up the TV antenna that came with it or go through a coaxial for regular cable. It has a HD DVD player and is the clearest resolution screen I've ever seen.

So far it's pretty cool. Pretty much just what all the reviews have said about it, that it is XP SP3 (+ multiple hundreds of dollars)

the honest reason i only wanted one was for direct x 10 which pc gammers need, but unless other wise i'd probably stick with my linux

From the reviews I've seen, Vista is apparently at least as good as OS X. Haven't tried either one though, so I'm just going by what the "experts" say.

I saw Windows Vista on a friend's computer and it looked really cool. I look forward to getting it in the future.

Didn't know we had people in the Mac cult on this board :p.

mac's aren't bad but there not a favorite choice, i mean we hear alot of stuff like for example. The upgrade commercial, if you're honestly upgrading your computer you don't have to redo all that and if you were to redo it on a mac it would be the same no wait you would have to buy a new mac...

Same with the no viruses, there are more pc user than mac user of course there will be more virus written for pc than mac, no to mention there are very few programs and games for mac. Theres like a 100 to 1 pc to mac ratio.

Macs are infinitely superior to PCs and it's not even close. The added benefit with a Mac is that if you don't like Os X, a Mac will support Windows Vista and it will actually handle the change far better than a PC.

dude just swallow your pride and admit it. Macs are superior in nearly all facets (windows has more software, but thats about it) we all know it. doesnt make you any less of a man:rolleyes:

The only people who think macs are inferior are the ones who don't know how to use them properly.

Mac's arent everyone's cup of tea. I bought one of those mini Macs and was so hard to use and incompatible w everything online that I got mad one day and gave it away on impulse. Now Im realizing I could have sold it for $$ but oh well... Give me my buggy Windows XP anyday.
